Millions of visitors head to many of the gaming floors in hotels along The Cotai Strip to play games of chance, amongst decadent surroundings, getting a taste of the high life and feel like they’re in the James Bond film “Diamonds are forever ” for the evening.
If you purchase DRG, you too can get a taste of this type of lifestyle, even if you hold one DRG!
How is this miracle possible? Anyone holding DRG automatically becomes a member of the Dragon Community - which includes Dragon Junkets and partners, and also casinos, such as the recently agreed partnership between Dragon Inc. and South Korean Luck7, and Dragonbet8.
But it’s not only investors who benefit from holding DRG. Junket operators have a lot to gain, as well as high rollers who visit Macau to game.
If you haven't heard of Macau, you’re not alone. In fact, it was thanks to Dragon Coin that I first discovered it, and was surprised to learn that it’s the biggest gaming hub in the world. Bigger than Vegas!
Las Vegas is well known around the world, of course, thanks in part to blockbuster films such as “Leaving Las Vegas”, and “What happens in Vegas”, it’s been the main ‘star’ in many films including “Ocean’s 11”, has hosted music legends including Elvis, and Frank Sinatra, who frequently performed at some of The Strips most famous venues. You may be surprised to learn that Macau has just as many large, grandeur hotels (if not bigger and better than Vegas!), draws in just as huge stars, and perhaps most surprisingly, generates more revenue than Vegas!
Macau received 32.61 million tourists in 2017, which is an increase of 5.4% year on year, according to Statistics and Census Service (DSEC). Many of these visitors came to take in the sights like the Old Taipa Village, churches such as the Ruins of St. Paul, take a trip up Macau Tower for the breathtaking 360° views of Macau or take a ride in a gondola in the Venetian Macau - which incidentally houses the largest casino in the world. Yes, Macau has a Venetian hotel just like Vegas - and it’s the seventh largest building in the world, according to floor space!
And, of course, many visitors come to Macau to gamble!
While Macau and Las Vegas are relatively similar in terms of population; Macau’s population was 612,167 and Las Vegas 632,912 in 2016, they differ greatly when it comes to gross gaming revenue. In 2016, gross gaming revenue in Las Vegas hit US $11.1 billion. Impressive, yes, but Macau pulled in a draw dropping US $28 billion!
Soaring to great heights - Dragon Coin!
There are currently more than 190 licensed junkets in Macau with the top 40 accounting for 80% of total VIP revenue. Stakes at Baccarat tables (a firm favourite), can easily hit US$250,000 and daily rolling volume can reach US$25,000,000. Dragon’s white paper states that in 2018, daily flow is estimated to be over US$ 300 million.
One major stumbling block currently hindering both high stakes players and junket operators are the fees paid by both, but this is soon to be a thing of the past. A junket pays a minimum of 5% (stake money), and high stakes players will pay from 5% to 7% to participate in a junket - but they are charged another 5%-7% to repatriate their winnings.
Wouldn’t it be great if there was some sort of technology that could help to resolve this issue by reducing the cost of transaction fees, but also be a great investment for cryptocurrency investors?
Stumbling block no more! This Dragon’s quest to reduce fees!
With such high turnovers and the extortionate fees high-rollers and junket operators absorb, one can easily see the staggering amount in transaction fees players and operators pay. Dragon Inc., using blockchain technology, will considerably reduce these fees - a win-win for everyone. Jump on board the Dragon rocket to Jupiter!
Four junket operators in Macau have signed contracts, and the goal is to sign up all of Macau's top junkets. With 53% of DRGs committed to junket operators (US $265 million, the future looks very rosy. However, Macau isn’t Dragon’s only focus. The plan is to also set up Dragon Junkets in other countries.
It’s worth noting that, according to Dragon’s white paper, Dragon gamers who join Dragon Junkets, won’t have to fork out a fortune as minimum stakes. THe Dragon Junket will permit smaller minum stakes.
This is one of the main reasons I am bullish for Dragon Coin. Dragon Coin will continue to soar, regardless of what the crypto coin market is doing. The need for DRG by wealthy players will outweigh anything that might possibly strike other coins or tokens.
The Dragon debit card (MasterCard/Visa) which the final design was voted for by Dragon members on their Telegram channel and Facebook, will allow you to withdraw fiat (cash) from ATMs. Then there is the Dragon Wallet which you can test run now on Google Play, (iOS version will be released soon), and the wallet will support other cryptocurrencies, not just DRG. There are plans for Dragon Coin to be used in all different ways which I’m sure details of will be revealed soon.
I’m bullish for Dragon Coin as it’s a unique cryptocurrency in that it has real, everyday utilisation due to the huge buy pressure from Macau’s VIP junkets. Without Dragon Coin, high stakes rollers cannot save tens of thousands, if not, millions of dollars in fees.
With more junket partners signing up to the Dragon Junket, things can only get better and better.
The future is very bright for Dragon Coin.
