The 34-year-old batsman has scored more than 11,000 first-class runs so far
Fawad Alam, a talented batsman who has scored runs in domestic cricket for a decade, is still waiting for the national team's chief selector, Misbah-ul-Haq. The left-handed batsman has not had a chance to play Tests since 2009, ODIs after 2015 and no T20 internationals since 2010. 34-year-old Fawad Alam is strong in joining the Test team after the retirement minutes of Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq in May 2017. The most recent candidate, however, was selected by then Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq, who replaced his nephew Imam-ul-Haq in the national team.
