Today's Scripture
Say to wisdom, “You are my sister,” and to insight, “You are my relative.” They will keep you from the adulterous woman, from the wayward woman with her seductive words. (Proverbs 7:4-5)
Thoughts for Today
The book of Proverbs always warns us about the dangers which we will face along our journey in life. Sin sometimes can become so deceptive and we need to be very careful that we do not fall into a trap (sin). Sin is like a cage that binds us up, turning us into a prisoner of sin.
We need God's wisdom in our every walk in life whether we get married or we choose to leave our spouse (divorce), we should pray and read what the word of God says about it. There are many times we will be challenged to make a decision based on how we feel, any decision based on emotions is never a wise decision. We need to align our decision with the word of God.
If we are confused and find it hard to make up our mind, then it is best to put that decision on hold and best to bring it to God in prayer. God's ways are always higher than ours.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. (1 Corinthians 14:33)
Every decision we make right now is going to impact our future. Recently I faced a situation where I felt so anxious and difficult to make a decision. I was surrounded by fear and uncertainty but I realized that God is in control of all our situations, we need to turn to Him and seek Him for advice.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
We are like lost sheep who have gone astray. We need you, the Great Shepherd to guide us and lead us. Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort us, we rest in Thy peace knowing that You in charge. Though we walk through the valley of death, we will fear no evil for You are with us. Thank You for never forsaking us and for always loving us. We ask this in Your Precious Name, Jesus. Amen!
