Actually, form your list of countries I would have gone for Malaysia..probably near Johor Bahru with easy access for SingaPORE.. actually Singapore is my own first choice after Hong Kong...but property prices and rents are huge in Singapore... Johor Bahru is much cheaper, and just a bus over the border into Sing.
