I've now amassed a total of 60 minutes of flight time on the SuprEZ 1200mm trainer (SuperEZ?)
In this video, I take the SuprEZ on another couple of flights. The maiden (earlier video) consisted of two 5 minute flights, followed by two 10 minute flights that same afternoon, combined to total 30 minutes. After those early flights, I checked the batteries when I got back home and realised there was so much left in the battery, but I didn't want to find out the hard way considering I don't have LiPo alarms just yet.
Today, I ran the same two 2200mAh 3s 50c Zeee batteries through the beast for 15 minutes each. When I returned home, the voltage on each battery still remained healthy at 3.75V. I was astounded. When I finally receive the LiPo alarms in the mail, I'll be flying with one connected. I'm very keen to experiment with conservative voltage settings at about 3.5V to see what times I can squeeze out of the batteries during different flying styles (more aggressive vs lazy park-flying).
I'm considering getting another 2 of the same 2200mAh 3s batteries from Zeee, as they're only $25AUD each to limit needless stress that may be placed on the current two I have.
Interesting parts of this video:
- Take off was wonky caused by tail wheel turn to the port side by less than 10 degrees so I need to either fix that, hand launch or take off with a bit of left rudder.
- Tried a stall. Reacted nicely.
- Flew some nice passes, a loop, few aileron rolls and inverted once.
- Performed two successful touch and go's.
- Land twice without any damage - but the final landing didn't look pretty!
- Harry visited me at the end of the video!

Transmitter: FlySky FS-i6X with 8Ch receiver.
Transmitter batteries: 4 x 2000mAh AA 'Energizer Recharge'
Plane: Used FMS SuperEZ V2 RTF ($180 - Bargain!)
Receiver and flight batteries: 2 x Zeee 2200 mAh 50c 3s 1 x Predator 1500 mAh 25c 3s (puffed)
Charger: iMAX B6AC single channel charger ($39 ebay purchase)
Simulator: ClearView
Favourite ClearView Aircraft: Aileron Trainer, AT-6 Harvard, Aquila, ParkZone T-28 Trojan, Pitts Special, Sky Trainer 400.
Favourite ClearView flying site: Osage Park.
Current setup:
No flaps or flaperons
No camber or reflex
I'll definitely consider playing with this in the future.
