RE: How curation rewards work and how to be a kick ass curator

in #curation7 years ago

For most of us growing up on steemit seem to be in a hurry to upvote the big whales for some unclear reasons and having little or nothing to show as a reward for their activity.

I in particular was a quilty of this. I never had any curation reward voting for the already established big fishes. My curation rewards came in from voting the upcoming steemians with reputation between 45 and 50.

I think the 30 minutes time frame still remain our best bet if we truly seek to get curation reward otherwise, upvote if a content truly bless you with better information irrespestive of the time frame.

Sort:

20-25 minutes is better in most cases, you will find you will receive more curation rewards by being earlier than the 33% you lose for being 20 minutes instead of 30 minutes.

@hillaryoki I found myself upvoting those big whales out of habit for "Liking" posts on Facebook. Thanks to this great breakdown by @themarkymark I wont feel so bad holding back on the upvoting. ;)
