The Verbal Cultural of Melayu in Indonesia

"Assalamualaikum. "A girl greeted politely while knocking on the door of the house. His stature is unique, as an embodiment of acculturation of three cultures, Middle East, China and India. The tangible ones deserve to be welcomed.

"Wa'alaikumsalam." Shouted a mustache man who used a sarong from inside the house. Arriving at the front door he was troubled because his nephew was standing while holding something in his hand. What's not clear.

"Eh, Ayong. When it arrives? "The father's question was clearly heard as a camouflage tone in the preamble of their meeting.

"Just now, Wak Ngah," said the beautiful-looking girl.

"Ha, how come this thing?" Asked Wak Ngah back.

"This is Wak Ngah, you want to send an invitation to Uncu's circumcision. Then they also said later that they were going to have a spirit of spirit at home. Wak, come here. Don't worry anymore, "said the Ayong complete with his persuasive dialect in Malay rhythm.

"God willing, Yong. Understandably, Yong, Wak. Are you already old? "Wak Ngah confirmed his arrival to Ayong while defending himself.

"Wak, that's how it is. You want to go back first, please help Mother cook. "Ayong also asked permission to withdraw from Wak Ngah.

"Come on, bro. Be careful, Yong. Send greetings to my mother and father. "Wak Ngah's blessing was clearly illustrated to release Ayong's return from his house.

"God willing, Wak. Assalamu'alaikum. "After that Ayong immediately shook Wak Ngah's hand.

"Wa'alaikumsalam." Answered Wak Ngah.

The fragment of the dialogue above is an excerpt from the social and cultural realm that is often reflected in people's lives. It cannot be denied when reading the dialogue, our instincts are intrigued to ask, "What exactly is the meaning behind the story piece between Ayong and Wak?"

Let us begin to walk leisurely to pick up meaning, no need for sprints to catch up because the more pursued the faster the meaning runs like the speed of light.

First, in terms of language. I prefer to express it as a sounding style in the communication symbol used by the contemporary or conventional society. To clarify this matter, we should immediately study the case of one of the literary faces that I have cast above.

Consider the following quote, "Eh, Ayong. When it arrives? We can interpret this quote phonetically by compiling the following quote that changes to, "Eh, Sis. When will it arrive? " This is what is referred to as lexical meaning, the meaning of which is actually expressed.

Now, how about contextually. Does the quote need to be expressed at a meeting? If you carefully observe. After I emphasize the quote in the following sentence, the father's question is clearly heard as a camouflage tone in the preamble of their meeting. Is it still unclear? Well, the phrase from the Wak Ngah is an expression of betel vine to welcome guests in this case the Ayong, his own niece. In the social order this expression becomes important not important to say.

This is where the Langkat Malay cultural entity is clearly illustrated through verbal repertoire in the above excerpt. The welcome of guests is manifested in the simplicity of the word. Only two words, when you arrive? but building a manners construction that is truly charming.

Now we turn to taste. Second, in terms of humanity. Identitas Melayu Langkat was illustrated in his favorite calling. However, make no mistake. This call is adjusted to the lineage in adat and Malay adab. Why should be called Wak Ngah, it turns out he is an uncle in the third filial where in the second filial he acts as the third child or middle child. Why should it also be called Ayong, indicating that it is the first child in the second filial. This is the terminology in the Langkat Malay verbal repertoire.

I only took one quote and explained in two approaches it turned out to produce a rich enculturation and framed in a literary face. This is the Malay response. Rooted strongly in the standard of civilization.images.jpg
