Why give the magic printing press to government, government does not exist and the currency would not be backed Yeah it would be backed by stolen goods stolen through taxation. The government has no money or property everything it's has was stolen first under thread of, or use of force.

I don't know if the example is clear but let's say I was the government and I had a printing press and printed money I would raise and raise taxes and print and print etc.
