Why Ripple (XRP) May No Longer Be A Good Investment

Hey fellow people of Steemit, in this video I discuss the two reasons for which I think that Ripple has lost a lot of it's potential for growth in 2018. One of these reasons is by no fault of the XRP developers however the other is due to the increased centralization ripple is seeing which is very much their fault.

Please do let me know what you think about the future of Ripple and if you agree with the views I expressed in the video.

Seems it will remain a bit liquid for a while allowing some swing trades. It has always been "banker coin". Coinbase will always stop "rumors", they have denied initial rumors in past so not sure if that is good to go on.

I don't like the XRP ecosystem, but I expect it to be around a while. Thank you for the video, but this is really old news and released prior to the run up in price (factored in). If you read Ripple Inc releases, the roadmap has them going far more "decentralised" (read Distributed) than btc. I believe that is a half truth but will have a greater spread of wealth than btc (wallets) seems likely in the short term (2-4 years if it survives)

Ripple is a banking cryptocurrency. And I think we should not invest in anything that banks are controlling

Agreed. As it appears it's become even more centralized so while it used to be a decent currency for speculation purposes, I'll no longer be supporting it even as a means of flipping a profit.
