I discovered Signatum 3 days ago. That day after finishing reading the Bitcointalk thread about it I understood - this hybrid PoW/PoS coin has some heavy potential behind it and if I want to benefit from it's potential I gotta invest in it as soon as possible. After further research I found that Signatum has full support for Windows/Linux & AMD/NVIDIA mining - that has made the whole situation even more interesting for me. It's a cryptocurrency that is made to be mined - created be a team of honest and transparent develpoers, with it's unique hashing algorithm, without ICO, dev fees or pre-mine. Just 100% fair coin. Sounds interesting, right? I will introduce you to the main aspects of this genuine cryptocurrency and also will try to justify my excitement about it so you can decide yourself if this coin is for you or not :)
Basic specs:
- Ticker: SIGT
- Hasing algorithm: SkunkHash Raptor
- Estimated block time: 2 minutes
- Total supply of PoW coins: 137 500 000
- PoS after block: 100 000 (current blocks around: 23 000)
- Annual PoS interest: 5%
- TX confirmations: 6 confirmations
- Reward Structure
There are bunch of aspects that make me so confident about Signatum. In order to make it clearer here are the most import ones:
Transparency
Developers' team plays a crucial role in further improvements and development of a cryptocurrency. Moreover - it is also very significant for community trust - if developers are transparent about their project and keep their promises, they rise the chances for further community support and popularity gaining. I have never seen so much transparency from developers' side as it is in the case of Signatum (well... maybe Safe Exchange, but that's another story for another time) - they wanted to create a legit, 100% fair coin without caring about their own profit and they did it. Everything that they have written in the bitcointalk thread is being. The roadmap is ambitious and it looks like it is going to be fulfilled.
Attractivity
Speaking of the road map - these guys have some serious plans for their crypto - Switch to the Proof-of-Stake and Signatum wallet serve only as a warm up. A very own Signatum Marketplace where people could trade goods for Signatum? Sounds pretty good for me. What about SignatumPay - ApplePay and GooglePay rival? And of course - the security upgrades with more Tor-based nodes and higher trading flexibility thanks to wider exchange adoption is a must . And btw. - have you seen that steady price growth? And what about Signatum mining that is now almost twice as profitable as everyone's beloved Ethereum mininig?

Genuine Technology
When there is a new cryptocurrency on the market that is not jsut another fork of a famous cryptocurrency, with a original name, well written white paper and the tech details that are accessable by anyone - it immidiatelly gains popularity. Signatum devs followed this receipt and after two weeks Signatum gained some decent attention from cryptocurrency enthusiasts (like me for instance) from around the world. That wouldn't happen if Signatum would have been running Scrypt algo. Instead it has it's own unique and intensive hashing algorithm - HashSkunk Raptor. The fact that the PoW/PoS change has a defined date when it's going to be switched is also great. Anonymity, scalability and transaction speed does not seem to be a problem for Signatum too (not tested yet - in order to test Signatum's blockchain "on the battlefield" we have to wait for the mass adoption first, nevertheless - what I have read from the white paper looked pretty decent).
Overall good feeling
There are few individual "small" aspects that automatically make you feel good about a certain crypto - Signatum definitelly possesses those. I never invest in cryptocurrencies that I am not 100% confident about. In this case it was no big deal for me to put few hundred bucks (for beginning) in it, open a wallet and start mining it with my GPU miners because I knew exactly what I am investing in and what I can expect from it in the future.

Will the marketplace also be anonymous? Then it can compete with safex with better security and anonymity all in one. The market place should hold an escrow like local bitcoin to make sure both parties get their product or service. You should also allow them to provide whatever products or services they want, even bad things, that's the only way to put yourselves on the map.
