I was going through the internet one night when my attention was drawn to an ad which said "earn free BTC". Now to those who have seen it before, you can agree with me that it could be very tempting. The problem always comes up when you open the site. When you open the site, you see lots of features which make you believe that the site is legit. Take for example, a chat room where messages enter by the second and sometimes, your name gets mentioned like it was a real chat group.
I actually have visited one of this sites and fallen victim to their schemes. What is done on these sites is that they display a slider which lets you pick the amount of BTC you want and then click the mine button.
.
After the mining process, you are then asked to send BTC to a wallet address which is said to serves as miner's fee. From there, we can all imagine what happens.
I am posting this to serve as a caution to all crypto-investors out there to be careful.
