Mining with your cpu

Mmmmm, nice hash:-)

I tried mining with SHash.png

I have a laptop which i use for general computing stuff, it has an i3 processor and is pretty basic power-wise, so i though i'd put it to the test on Nicehash to see how it mines crypto, i didn't expect much as it is only a cheap basic laptop , so i downloaded their miner and fired it up, i got about 27.5 h/s mining CryptonightHeavy and about 37 h/s mining CryptonightV7 which earned me not very much in the 24 hours i ran it:

I don't know how much extra power it cost but it really was a waste of time (on that particular machine at least), now i'm not saying there's anything wrong with mining crypto on your cpu although you can get much better results using your gpu(s) if you don't mind frying them in the process, and according to Nicehash you can earn about £60 per month if you have a Titan V, which bye the way cost about £2700 or more and to be honest, if i paid that much for a graphics card i would use it for precisely that purpose - graphics, not fry the arse off it.

So there you have it, if you really want to mine crypto then the simplest and most enjoyable way to do it is to mine it with your mind using the power of steem.
