Not All Bad

THERE HAVE BEEN COVID-19 SILVER LININGS

Portrait of Inma while working on one of her pieces at her home studio

As devastating and catastrophic as the COVID-19 pandemic, and the resulting global lockdown, has been for the world, there have been some silver linings for many. It's been the time to reconnect with family, albeit virtually/remotely. It's give a lot of people to experience working from home in their pyjamas - a dream that many have had all their adult life. Some people have even made a lot of money from it, believe it or not.

For my friend Inma, an award winning artist, it's been a time to really dive into her art. Every artist knows that the best works are created at times of adversity and extreme emotions - positive or negative.

She has been sharing some of her work with me, and wow, she's been truly inspired. I particularly love what she's working on right now, which is a painting inspired by the health workers on the front lines of this pandemic. She's doing with her paintbrush what I wish I could do with my camera.

I will seek permission from her to share some of her work on here so you guys can see what I mean.

What has been a silver lining for you during this terrible time?

Peace & Love,

Adé
