And the competition continues!
It's the second week for the competition and this weeks theme for Cook with Us #2: A Three-Ingredient Dish hosted by the Cook with Us team - @chefsteve , @pandamama and @offoodandart. !
So my entry for this weeks competition is....
Homemade Greek Tzatziki @ Cooknbake :
Yogurt
Cucumber
Fresh dill
with a gentle taste of garlic, olive oil, squeeze of lemon juice and salt
Recently this has been my refreshing treat, along a few bread sticks on the side :) Cool and refreshing!
What I love about it the most is that it reminds my of my amazing trip to Greece a few years back! Don't you love that feeling when you smell or taste something and it suddenly takes you way back to a place you visited a long time ago and you get that feeling you're there for a moment?! Ok, enough with the pep talk :DD - Here's the recipe... :)
Fresh Greek Tzatziki Recipe
Ingredients:
500gr plain / greek yogurt
1 cucumber, finely grated and drained
2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
15 gr fresh dill, finely chopped
Fresh lemon juice, to taste
Salt, to taste
Method:
-Place yoghurt in a bowl (if you prefer strained: place it in a sieve over a bowl and let stand for 10 minutes to allow any excess whey to drain).
-Grate the cucumber and squeeze the excess liquid out.
-Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Season with salt and lemon juice to taste.
-Serve cold (with vegetable sticks and or bread sticks on the side)
and ENJOY!
The proportions of the ingredients here suit my taste (because I don't like too much dill or garlic in it).
You can feel free to experiment and make changes with the amounts of the ingredients you put inside to suite your taste!
I’m happy to be the part of it :)
Good luck to all and most importantly - Enjoy your cooking/baking!!!Thank you Cook With Us Team @cookwithus for another fun week of competition! :)
Thank you so much for reading my post,
Have a great week!
Much Love ❤️
