I'm from the USA. A positive trait is that encompasses all Americans is tough. We are so divided most of the time. My best guess is that people here tend to be patriotic - especially when the Olympics are happening.

I thought about it being negative before I put it down. I suppose as an American I feel we can be so divided in terms of politics, religion, beliefs, values etc. The Olympics, for example, seem to make everyone forget we are so divided. It’s nice. Patriotism doesn’t have to be negative but I can certainly see how it turns that way.
That's true. I guess it's a great way for people to forget their differences, which seems especially important in a large union like the states.
