Hello steemians how is your day going! Well, this is my little entry for @iamthegray contest, i am looking forward to seeing your entries to. thanks gray for the contest.
Now to the issue at Hand. IT'S BETTER LATE THAN NEVER. So today I would like to talk about being late. i am so sure there are few things we all wanted to do but we were looking for the right time, and I am sure that at the long run we ended up not doing it.
OK, let's take the New Years Resolutions, maybe you resolved to stop smoking, lying, going late for work, serving God better, but you are waiting for the right time, for the perfect time. That’s not the problem, why wait for the perfect when you can make the time perfect?
Don’t fret! I’m not here to judge or blame you. But I am going to let you in on a small, little known secret. It’s still the 2nd month of the year! You still have enough time to reach your goals.
Now, Let’s do a little math, shall we? Let’s say your goal this year was to Save a MILLION naira (Nigerian local currency), that is you've planned to be saving 2,800 naira daily. if you started in January, now you would have saved up to 100,800 naira! that’s a great accomplishment, a huge amount you will be so proud of saving. But, guess what? If you start now and you are determined before the year runs out you will make a sum of 907,200 naira, that's very close to your goal, but for you to hit your goal, the price for starting late will be to increase the amount you save to 3,500 and at the end of the year you will have the sum of 1,134,000naira.
Starting always seems tough, but in the long run, the benefit is worth it.
It’s never too late to start something.
If you want to be the very best, don't wait for the perfect time make the time perfect. Just know that there is no such thing as “too early” or “too late” to start something.
A nice approach to a classic motivational problem, I like how you were able to frame the problem different than what I have seen before personally, the use of the amount you can still hope to save gives it a very glass half full instead of glass half empty point of view.
And it is definitely true speaking from a design and development point that if you wait for something to be perfect before launching you will never launch anything.
Thank you for your entry to #thegraycontest
