RE: The Psychology Of Control: The Stanford Social Media Thought Prison Experiment

in #conspiracy7 years ago

Hey, my brother. I decided to follow you on the fan trail, that way I would be able to upvote of your posts. Even if I didn't get a chance to read them, your work will always get my vote!
You may not remember, but I did a post a few months ago concerning the Stanford Prison Experiment as well as the Milgram experiments, which were another angle on how far that people are willing to obey orders from those that are perceived as "authority" figures.

Interestingly enough, Professor Philip Zimbardo wrote a book about the conclusions of the experiment called The Lucifer Effect, which I highly recommend reading if anyone wants to further understand the experiment as well as human psychology.
There is an old saying that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely! The main teaching and thread of zimbardo's book is that everyone has a light and a dark side. We all have the capacity to do what some would consider evil. Human nature is something that never changes, and even the most honorable of men can sometimes become corrupted.
We must remember that in reality, there are no "governments" or "countries". There are only people and the networks and buildings that we create. There will never be any true freedom, peace, or tranquility these structures in place !
Behind nearly every motive of men there lies a dollar bill. Everything in commerce, by design, involves profit and loss. Someone will gain , while another loses.
This plays right into the hands of duality and the social engineers understand duality very well! They have used it against the general population as a silent weapon in their quiet war.
Nearly everything in society is geared towards left brain thinking people. In occult science and human psychology, the left brain represents masculine force and linear thinking. This worldview is unbalanced and without the holistic balancing of the brain hemispheres, the polarity of our world is becoming increasingly more violent and aggressive.
In the yin and yang, both polarities must be equally represented. No matter what a person's opinion is of Mark Passio, he explains this very well in his lectures on the destruction of the Sacred feminine.

Hey dude, good to hear from you, I don't know if you read one of my recent posts but I was laying out a similar analysis regarding the left brain. I was projecting it into the future and imagining our brains becoming more robotic, pre-programmed logic and control mechanisms gradually preparing us for a future connection to the internet, I will write some more about this and knowing your sphere of interest/expertise I think you may be interested in the concept that I'm slowly putting together in my mind .. so yes I very much agree with what you're saying.

The post you mentioned does ring a bell I will have to check it again .. be interesting to gain another perspective, in fact I'm going to look for it now. ;) I was going to include the Milgram experiment on this post but I couldn't really work it into the narrative that I was trying to create, so I thought I'd save it for another day and try to think of a way that I could open it up and bring it into the net or the wider collective. I used a similar concept for the brave new world & 1984 internet mashup which I wrote a few months back. You'll have to let me know about this fan trail thing .. that way I won't miss your work either .. thanks for stopping by @mindzai
