This was the fall 2017 with my rescue cat. He was found in the middle of a busy road in Sacramento, California. My friend was on a business trip and he thought he was dead. He looked in his rear view mirror and saw his little head pop up. He turned around, pulled into the median and put the cat in the car. He was skinny and had deep wounds on his back legs from being thrown out a car window. He made sure he was fed and brought him to the vets.
He drove the cat back to Portland, Oregon where he got medicine, his shots and neutered. He did not have a home and I was watching him. The cat and I bounded the second we met. He crawled into my lap and purred. He is now my cat and one of my bestest friends, I adore him with all my heart. I was not planning on a second cat but my Tuxedo boy ‘Bert’ adores him too.
I named my spotted rescue boy ‘Meri’ (Murray), after the hand of an Egyptian King. Meri looks Egyptian. He has long legs, short fur, spots and large ears.
Today His wounds are all healed and he is at a regular weight. He is very playful, cuddly and could not be happier in his new home with his loving cat mom and bro Bert.
Please share your thoughts in comments, I like them.
Great story, @Sobadintheattic! I cannot believe people would do such cruel things to animals is beyond me! I've had the pleasure of meeting Meri in person! Such a sweet boy.
Unlike other cats, lions have a tuft of hair at the end of their tails.
A cat's brain is more similar to a man's brain than that of a dog.
Cats hate the water because their fur does not insulate well when it’s wet. The Turkish Van, however, is one cat that likes swimming. Bred in central Asia, its coat has a unique texture that makes it water resistant.
Yay, love anything about cats❤️

It's a bot lmao
While many parts of Europe and North America consider the black cat a sign of bad luck, in Britain and Australia, black cats are considered lucky.
