Why haven't you earned money in Steemit?

image

As far as I know,Many people flocked into Steemit for money, trying to make more money should be encouraged, but I have to tell you a cruel truth that large section of them can not earn here, or cannot make enough money to afford themselves .

Don't envy others who make hundreds or thousands of US dollars every day, no need to swear to earn money here, or hurry to do a full-time or part-time job here.Once you cannot make your money, you will be heartbroken, confidence-broken, then disappear for ever.

Because of that you complain that it's an unfair community, people don't know how to respect, you may even think this is a malicious website which deceives you.

The truth is that Steemit is unsuitable for you, you do not have the ability to write, but fall into the fantasy of making money from writing, soon or later you will be hit to wake up by the reality. Even talent in writing is not assured to earn money here, you have to choose right topics that suit for Steemains.

Don't expect to make a lot of money at the initial times, only few people can do that, it's just coincidence, they shouldn't be your idol. If most people can make money once they come in here, Steemit is not a good thing, you have to alert to that.

No matter off-line or on-line, there is no community or organization that can make sure people to get money at their initial stage, unless you join an illegal group. Keep long-term vision, with careful management, then you have the possibility to find gold coins.

Steemit just offers us a way to make money, but cannot let everyone rely on it, but you can earn some pin money by painstakingly work.

Except money-making in Steemit, there are many valuable things you can do here, like making friends, knowing about outside world, learning another language, obtain useful information etc. you should not only look at the numbers of money a post earned, but also see the valuable knowledge it contains.

Don't pay too much attention on the index of Reputation, Steam Power, Followers, focussed on work creating. Once you make great works, these things would follow.

Seek quality over quantity, people will be disgusted with low value contents. It better to use days to create a high quality post than make several posts in one day.

Don't make too much low simple comments, they are useless, stop strolling Steemit for too much time. Try your best to add more values to this community, so you can get long-term development.

To earn money in any profession, you have to be qualified, even an assembly line worker or traditional farmer need abilities and skills to earn their living. The same in Steemit, try to develop your own specialities, show them to the public, earn respect and attention, then money is coming.

Link your home page to other website, introduce Steemit to your friends, let them support you. More people gather in, more demands are created, more possibilities are brought in, you are more likely to be needed.

I guess most people dont have the right motivation. They expect fast money and get disappointed when they see they have to invest time, passion and patience. 🤔

Great post it shed some light on the preconceptions we all had when we discover this great social media.even if you dont have any writing skill like me you can contribute to the community by suporting writer or any content creator you like. It like watching youtube videos whitout ad bloc to suport the creator.i plan to write a blog even if im a poor writer maybe in the long-run my skill will get better and ill be more entertaining . Dont lose all hope money dont grow in tree anymore be creative and stay true to yourself

First of all, impressive bilingual post.

And yep, it is the truth that a majority of people simply do not earn anywhere near what they would like/ expect..

But I have been handling steemit rewards a bit differently... I power up with whatever SP I gain through posts and comment, and sell all the SBD earned in exchanges for other alt coins, I haven't yet converted a single steem or any other crypto to fiat yet, whatever steem earned here or other cryptos earned through trading go back into crpto investment, so far I've been able to invest $600 (in a month) in cryptos without using a single penny of my own this way :D
.
I hope to invest at least $10000 in cryptos in a year or so, pretty sure it will grow BIG in the coming years since the world is still pretty new to crypto currencies..This is the accumulation and holding phase :)

Tl;dr : do not convert any of your earnings to fiat now, they will be worth many times more in the coming years

Strongly agree with you, I will keep invest in cryptos too. I have a unbreakable faith that cryptos have a bright future in the next few years.

Well said, completely agree with your thoughts. I am also probably going to hold at least 80%, but am also working on streams of income and thus would like to finance other opportunities. Taking out 20% should allow me to fund those routes. Well said and GL to you.
Boris

Yup, right now it's about the hodling phase not the cashing out phase.

I made some profit from DGB, Siacoin and steem itself.. also looking at blackcoin as an opportunity for long term investment, and Litecoin as a great store of value with decent gains too

One more thing : watch out for alt coin pumps (especially litecoin) when the FUD over bitcoin fork next month hits, people will want to temporarily convert their BTC to ETH or LTC to be on the safer side...

what you say definitely makes sense, by the way you did great with the bilingual part ;)

Thank you for your inspiration, I working on it.

Yes, great work on the translated text, I appreciate when a poster tries to make his articles readable for the global audience

Thanks, English is the most popular language, I'm struggling to improve it, hope I can express more fluently and clearly.

first you have to give (content), then you take (paycheck)! it has always and everywhere been like this. no way to turn this around here on steemit..!

thanks for the reminder post for those who don't know that! :D

Very useful tips I also confirm the rules of success in steemit land that you so wisely described.

I like the bilingual part thank you

Very true brother.
U touch the hard truth of steemit.
Thanks for sharing ur views about this # steemit

That is some reality for us newbies.

Great post. One of my personal takeaways after being on here for three weeks is that the more I post, the less I forget about the money. I care more about putting out my message. In the process, I earn what I get and build a nice following in the process.

Up'd and RS'd, my friend.

Great you find the right way, I'm glad to know that.

Wow is amazing, good work

yes. bro your right keep sharing.

Thanks, keep well, keep sharing.

I have always found that commenting on submissions I enjoyed is much more enjoyable and lucrative. Steemit needs more community engagement because the comment ratio is far too low and it's been that way since I joined over a year ago.

Yes, you are right, agree with you, we should add more meaningful and valuable comments, Try to avoid meaningless comments, like "Follow for follow".

This was very informative and wisdom everyone joining steemit should have. Kudos to you for making it bilingual, that means it can be viewed by a wider audience. Thank you for sharing and I wish u all the best.

Thank you for comment. Keep well, keep sharing.

Great exposition, now I know what's going on with this community

Humans are naturally greedy.... its just nature

if someone makes a website that allows people to get money for free, people are going to take advantage of it

The only way lead to real success is roughly narrow, and need a lot of hard work.

Agreed what you have said above.
Society nowadays has been changed and technology is shortening the distance between people. We can communicate and exchange opinion in this portal by making friends.

You're inspiring and a lot of noobs and minnows need to read this post to have the right mindset. There are more to steemit than just earning money on upvote and as you have rightly said, one can make friends, build connections and improve their writing skills on steemit.

When i did my introduction post i wrote 11 reasons why i joined steemit and the least of it is to make money. I am taking steemit as a business and hoping to build a career off it

I'm so glad that you choosed the right way to use steemit.
You are doing a great job, You will have a successful career.

Thank you and i aspire to see more of your inspiring update on my feed

Great post! Thanks for sharing!

Hello there, nice to meet you :)
Very good post you've written here, and i hope fellow steemers take this advice as well. It may take a while to reach certain levels, but keeping up with quality work will certainly be rewarding.

totally agree with u, just enjoy the community, take the money as bonus

inspiring post!

Thanks for this article it's great does not hype this up. Like anything takes time to build like anything of value.

I think people who set out intending to make money, will find difficulty. I think people who set out to become part of a community here, will find monetary reward in that, and over time, I think that will become equal to the level of contribution/participation they are putting forth. Thanks for your post

This post is inspiration to all new steemians . You are right people entering into for money and when they watch other having thousand of dollars into their post they start running to write more more more. but content should be pure and full of interest .

We should move slowly but with proper way. People who are earning have already done their hard work. Really this post is full of motivation.

Gud Job @coldhair.

It's a very good thing its not easy to make money on steemit. If it was, then the whole planet would be posting the same low-quality rubbish that we can find on the rest of the internet. This is great for both those willing to work hard writing quality content, and for those who are genuinely looking to consume that quality content. As more talent is attracted to Steemit, and the undriven and untalented are weeded out, what remains is a lot of quality content that is being paid for, but that we all get to consume free of charge. For those who can't make money posting, Steemit is still valuable. If you can find quality information or learn something that you can apply elsewhere, that is still a form of payment that you should be happy to have access to. If you have a home project that you're going to pay thousands of dollars for and you learn something here about doing it in such a way that you save $1000, then guess what, you just made $1,000 from Steemit. ;-)

very good post

One of best advice I have seen since joining the community, thanks for this article, I will try to work with this information.

I see bilingual posts some times, but rarely they are as well formatted as yours. It was very easy for me to read, even if I expected to have trouble with it. I think the paragraphs were the right size and the ideas were well separated. Heh.

I definetely agree that there is more to Steemit than making money.

Very inspiring post! I've learnt something new today. Thank you so much! What are the symptoms of malaria?

Great post there, am still new here and really busy with my offline work which takes all my day, i hope to create chance and have some time to spend with you all on this platform, really wish to make more friends here than money.
Thanks once more friends follow me and i will also do that in return too.

Great post, there should be more bilingual-based posts like this on Steemit. As for those who can't earn money on Steemit, I think it's mainly because they want and expect to make fast money, they've no patience. And they're probably don't believe and are not interested in Steem and blockchain technology, just the money that comes with it.

Nice post. One thing becomes evident as you get older and gain more experience: Everything is hard... At least everything worth getting. A few times in your life you may get lucky, but that's it. The rest is grindstone cowboy.

I deal with this problem every time i get on steem.

That's why I think they should remove all mentions of money and only make sure that the author can see how much money they made. Right now this whole site is set up to play the numbers game, in stead of the content game!!

By far one of the entries who truth-slapped me. Haha

I've not long joined up but already might of earned more than i expected lol I got nothing from twitter ever. I love how you were able to write this up in both English and Chinese. A really good blog thanks for posting and I will try my best. :)

looking good in your uniform :)

I think this is a great post. It's my second day on the platform and this puts everything in perspective. Nice one
