Hello everyone. This is a bit of a "state of the game" post. A lot has happened in the last few weeks and more is to come, but lets go through it.
The campaign to settle the outskirts finished and the players participating managed to create a new settlement in the outskirts. While this is interesting for lore and story, gameplay wise this means land is accessible and some was awarded to our players. They already started to build some structures on it and employ other players to work for them. Interesting times for the economy are ahead of us.
But don't worry if you missed out. More land will eventually go on sale and future campaigns to reclaim more land from the void and settle there could very well award more land prizes. The Citadel still holds a bunch of land which I plan on making available to buy with FAVOR, which brings us to the FAVOR token.
The FAVOR token has been minted on hive-engine and is tradeable there. Currently, all FAVOR is held by the game account. The depositing logic is currently in the final test, but on Monday the airdrop will happen where you get one FAVOR token for every FAVOR you have in game, be it liquid or bound (like in market orders). This means a bunch of FAVOR will be sent out to players and this weekend is final call to get some more FAVOR for the airdrop.
The FAVOR can be used freely of course, but if you choose to deposit you can link your hive-wallet to the game account (!settings). Then you can just send FAVOR to the game wallet thatclaimgame and it will be credited to your game account. The game will add sell orders according to demand, but of course players are welcome to sell their airdrop. As I mentioned, land will be sold for FAVOR at some point and it will likely not be cheap. Note that withdrawals are not implemented and will not be for some time, as there is still a bunch of world progression necessary for that, see ROA(M)D 7 for details on that.
Which brings us full circle back to campaigns. The next big thing in the game will be the third campaign, where players will try to wrestle control of Oakshade vale from the void. This will drive the story of the game forward and offer more opportunities for players. So it is a good time to join and prepare to compete and take full advantage of the coming campaign or just amass FAVOR to buy some land, build and produce.
