What’s Your Favorite Posting Platform for Steemit (busy, dTube, eSteem, etc)? What do you use for your Ulogs

Almost everyone started with the interface of Steemit.com and learning that there are more condensers that you can choose from is just awesome because you are not limited to one way of posting your content.

You consider yourself as a writer you can use long-form writing and weave stories, fancy yourself as a great photographer then Steepshot would be an excellent condenser for you. Want to upload your sick tracks and music well we have Dsound for it. Have you always wanted to be a Vlogger and so you can either use Dtube or Dlive for those awesome thoughts or even short films that you make. Dmania is back if you like memes and Zappl is there if you want to fire off a quick post.

So as you can see you can offer more than one way of posting your content in the Steem Blockchain.

Now I usually write about 500-2000 word posts and like many I used Steemit.com as my condenser. It is pretty basic but it works. Last November when Steemit was being a bit wonky I was introduced to Busy, org and have used it exclusively for the past 6 months for most of my long posts.

image.png

I even wrote an in-depth review of Busy.org in this post Using Busy.org as your Condenser for Steem Blogs

Busy has some of the interface and functionalities that I wish Steemit has but that is the beauty of being open-sourced since you can build something that can be used by other people. It can save drafts, you can check your mentions, follows and even reblogs and one of its perks is having an upvote from it every 12 hours so it helps a lot.

image.png

I use Steemgigs if I am offering a service or looking to find a service that I need yet it is not limited to that. I also use its Untalented Editor that is a WYSIWYG (What You See IS What You Get)

I also use it when I am running simple contests as a means of giving out to the community.

Although it is still a work in progress we want to make sure that people use it and is inspired by the #ulog movement to post their thoughts, their dreams, their hope and day so that we can continue having a strong community.

I have been shooting a lot of footage, ideas that I have explored and created scripts for things that I want to video.

It has been hard because I am no vlogger but I am thinking of branching out and doing this so that I can unlock more skills in being a content creator in Steemit.

I have grown out of my fear of showing my face and using my voice as I already had a Dtube and Dlive videos put up. I just find uploading in Dlive faster and easier though.

So those are my current favorite posting platform in the Steem Blockchain for now and there are more being created each month so as the platform evolves so will we as content creators and content curators.

What are your favorite condensers and why?

I use steemit.com ;) Busy is nice because of the boost, but I haven't been doing that lately for some reason.

Yeah I remember you use to upload there a lot before.

For me I have been using busy and I love the interface alongside every other features and sometimes i get rewarded by upvote from busy when I add busy as one of my tags.

Yes that is one of the biggest perks for me, having busy upvote my post hahaha. I'm okay to lose that one tag to busy for a dollar upvote hahaha.

I just started using steepshot instead of instagram and so far so good. Takes some time to get used to but so far so good.

Yes it would appeal to the photographer in you and it can have more tags.

So, vlogging, eh? Anything in the works you care to share, or is it all hush hush top secret stuff?

I'm just not much for getting in front of the camera. I've done it, and I'm okay at it, but for me, words and images will always be better.

I think part of it is, proper editing of things is very time consuming, and since there's no one else but me to do it, it just gets to be a bit much to come up with the ideas, script them out in some fashion, prep for the shoot, shoot the shoot, then edit.

I suppose that simpler is better, which generally means someone in their room rambling on about something. I'm not going to be your demographic for such things, though, so no need to listen to me. :)

I want to try vlogging too but the quality of the video is compromised in the editing and conversion process. I probably need to use something with higher quality camera.

Yeah yuo will need to have at least 720 and then you will need to compress it further when you upload to either dtube or dlive.

Youtube automatically compresses so sometimes dtubers tell to upload it to youtube and then download and then reupload to the steem blockchain.

I guess 480p is fine if all you're trying to do is look at in the small screen. But if it ends up coming in worse than that, then there's a problem.

I suppose it all boils down to resources and storage space, but there's also something called, "good enough." And good enough is not usually the resolution that we had at the start of the 21st century for most things. It would be at least 720p. So, I don't know. It will interesting to see how quickly things can upgrade and improve, especially if there's issues with further compression, editing and conversion.

It seems there is a lot more to explore there. I took videos that I believe were more than 720p but it is on the conversion and editing part that some are lost in the process.

Oh I have been shooting a lot of footage and me just talking about stuff. Then been talking to some people who are regular dlive content creators and giving me some tips so looking to unlock the Video Editing badge hahaha.

Yeah the editing and then the rendering takes a long time and is harder than it looks like hahahha/ I don't have scripts yet as I only have talking points .

That is sad if you will not be a fan of my spoken work lol,

I can read faster than what most people ramble at (which is what people tend to do if it's not well scripted or otherwise rehearsed), so i feel like I'm wasting time waiting for people to get to the point.

And I've seen some vloggers also basically write out what they vlogged about, so you catch the folks who want to watch the video, and the ones who want to read. Some summarize, hitting the main points, others basically go point for point. So, I won't necessarily skip the vlogs if I have something I can read, or if the videos are shorter than 3 minutes. :)

And I know at least one individual who regularly uses DTube to post where he insists he makes more when he includes the spoken word than when he doesn't.

I've tried almost all those condensers but Steemit.com/SteemitSTAGE.com are still the best for me because I am always on mobile. It works well both on iOS/android browsers and HTML coding is easier for me. ;)

I don't know what happened with busy.org I cannot access it from my outdated iPhone for a week now. I only like its "quick post" and few 'cents' worth of upvotes haha but I'm lost with manual HTML coding until now I don't know how to center text/image there 😅

Of course #SteemGIGs if I have something to offer (^_^)

I would need android 8 or 7 to watch dLive :-/ I have android 5.1 and 6.0 but they are slow while YouTube plays just fine on iOS 9 I use both Globe GoSurf.

There are times I have to keep refreshing busy because it is not loading the page but it is okay in steemit. Maybe it is busy who has issues.

Oh since I only use markdown so even if I use busy/org using a mobile device it is okay.

I usually just use <.center> word </.center> to center text and images (just remove the dots)

Markdown is not working on my phone or maybe I just don't know how haha steemit manual HTML coding is easier for me 😅

I only posts on Steemit. I haven't checked the other writing platforms. :)

I highly suggest busy.org. they have been consistently voting my posts. You can read more about it from the reviews of maverick and also @fullcoverbetting https://busy.org/@fullcoverbetting/how-to-get-upvotes-from-the-busy-org-and-busy-pay-bots

Mas gusto ko rin talaga gamitin Steemit/SteemitSTAGE kaya lang sayang konting upvotes ng ibang platforms 😅

I agree that the upvote fdrom busy.org is very useful. I get an upvote of 0.51 to 1.21 cents so every chance I take I use busy hehe.

I’ve been seriously contemplating vlogging lately too, it has really sparked my interest. However, I am curious as to who would watch my life though. I personally think I lead a very dull life compared to most. 😊. But I guess it’s always worth a shot to try. If I do I think I might use Dtube for my uploads. I’m not quite sure of how dlive works though.

Well you might think that your life is boring but someone else might find it interesting.

I highly suggest Dlive though as that is where I upload my videos. You can never know till you try it though hahahha.

That sounds like perfect for @ulog. If you have not checked it yet, feel free to do so. @ulog is about uou and your day to day life, how your day went, where did you go, etc. It focuses all about you.

Since i started using Busy.org my steemit exprience have changed. Busy is my best.

Yes the Busy.org condenser is a good one and has made it easier for me to write my posts.

I use busy more than ever. Not only does it upvotes posts but there are basic tools for formatting which helps in editting. Thanks to the recommendation of @pinay. I have not used zappl yet.

I did use steepshot but it is kimited to one photo or was there an update already? Also, there is limit in the number of characters you can input. I posted one video in dlive as an entry for a contest. I like how there are more tags you can input to both dlive and steepshot.

I have used steemgigs in contests just like you. I will still use that for future contests. I have trouble using it though because it lags and it is slow. It is tough posting there so what I sometimes do is make a post in steemgigs and edit it in busy or steemit.

I tried one app before but forgot the name. I deleted it after a few tries because I do not find it user friendly.

Yeah busy, org is the bomb!!! It has a lot of great features and the upvote helps a lot to people like me.

Well Zappl is okay but a lot of people kinda frowns on the short content it has same with Parley.io which I had to remove my votes on certain people because they were gaming the system by using the link of their old posts and then use it in parley so it looks like a new post but has the same content.

I haven't tried it but are those short posts worth the repost? I would appreciate it if the post is worth the reposting just like some of those who are using #steemitzombies.

Combined busy.org and steemit. First is difficult really hard but i was loving it and yes busy.org is easiest but i can't post in busy.org

How come? I am using busy ever day and I can post just fine. Are you using smartphone or tablet?

Oh yes i am using smartphone and only using to post is steemit

Ah, busy has been having issues lately even with pc.

Yeah I use busy.org in both my personal computer and mobile device without any problems.

esteem is lit

Yeah for mobile users
