Eu nasci em uma cidade bem próxima da tríplice fronteira do Rio Grande do Sul com Argentina e Uruguai, mas nunca havia ouvido falar nesta ilha. Por muitos anos, teve apenas um habitante.
A Ilha Brasileira, como é conhecida, está localizada na foz do rio Uruguai, entre os municípios de Barra do Quaraí (Brasil), Bella Unión (Uruguai) e Monte Caseros (Argentina).
Seu Zeca, o guardião da ilha e único morador, viveu durante 50 anos preservando o local. Atualmente, existe um projeto de transformar a área de 200 hectares em um parque municipal de preservação ambiental.
Quando estava pesquisando sobre terras não reclamadas, vi essa ilha, no fundo ela não pertence a nenhum dos três países.
No fundo ela é o país do seu Zeca, basta ele se proclamar independente hahahah
Hehehehe! Então, a ilha nunca foi ocupada de fato e é reclamada pelo Uruguai, mas existe um marco da época do império brasileiro e volta e meia o exército usa o local para exercícios. Como não é muito grande, nem um ponto estratégico, fica por isso mesmo :P
