The beauty of bonfire night - a hidden lesson of enjoying the moment

in #bonfirenight7 years ago

Bonfire night is over and we can still hear the remnants of fireworks all through the night. The explosions of fireworks are fascinating to watch as every year. Spectators go ‘Ahhh’ and ‘Uhhh’. My 1 year old was very quiet watching the colours and shapes in awe.

How come fireworks are so fascinating to us?

It’s just a little explosion and some light, right? But it’s so much more, the lights and different sound effects. You never know how high the rocket will fly and if it will explode and when it goes off what colour it will be and what type.

There aren’t many surprises in life people say and that’s so true. We try and calculate everything, control as much as we can and plan to make things function efficiently. However, we rarely stop to wonder, to be surprised, to take something in and enjoy the moment.

So, when it’s bonfire night people stop talking, they stop doing, they just go and watch fireworks explode in the night sky and are able to just be in the moment and enjoy it. It’s beautiful really.
