RE: A weekend in Paris - Fluctuat nec mergitur [EN/FR]

You managed quite a lot in such a short time! I'm not the biggest fan of Paris but I like seeing photos of this city. I've been there several times and there was always some disaster that happened to me. I hate the metro lines :) It is so so so confusing. We ended up taking taxi as it was ridiculously cheap and much less stressful :)

That is a good tip to see the Eiffel tower from that street! When I went to Sacré Coeur there were those guys selling self made bracelets. I was young and stupid and didn't tell him to leave me alone at the beginning. He would put the bracelet on my wrist and keep saying hakuna matata and then he asked me for 20 EUR :D I gave him a look saying if you don't take your bracelet NOW I'll kill you :D We had a long discussion as he didn't want to let me go but then I told him I would call police and this was when he stopped bothering me.. so this is my experience of Paris :) This is why I prefer to look at the photos instead of going there :D

It looks like you had a great time and I also like your photos!

Thank you for sharing!

I'm sorry for the "not so good" experience that you had in Paris, it's unfortunately not so rare! That's why when I travel I try to look as little as possible like a tourist ... But when I'm lost, and I look on my road map to find my way, I'm easily identifiable! Haha. I hope that if you go back one day to Paris, you'll have a better experience ;)

Thank you for your nice comment @delishtreats :)

It's difficult to look like a tourist when you don't speak the language which is my case ;) But nowadays I don't even bother.. 2 years ago we went to Rome and there were those guys giving roses to women. He pushed the rose in my hand and I couldn't do much so I took it.. then I walked away. He was following me and asking for money. I tried to explain to him that he gave it to me and that he can PLEASE have it back but he wouldn't take it. At the end I told him, fine, if you don't take it I just leave it here and put the rose on the ground. He was pissed off and was screaming some nasty Italian words to me but I just walked away.. They are so annoying and it can happen anywhere..
