Lets talk about sex....

in #blog7 years ago

I love erotica, sexy flirty chat, and explicit discussions about everything to do with sex. Intelligent and hot, and honest.
Why not?

What I see on steemit is a distinct lack of this, and it mystifies my.
Why?

Steemit is predominantly male, and so you would think sex was a an active subject - but not so..interesting...

Why?
Is this representative of the kind of people on steemit? Maybe....
Is it because we are on block chain, and everything can be seen?

As someone who used to be in the sex industry, in many aspects, from adult actress, to escort to cam girl... I have done lot!
I do miss that world, but that time has past...

I have left all those adolescent issues behind. A long time ago.
Well, if anyone wants to chat to prove me wrong let me know!

I thought we were past the age of being scared of sexuality....being who you are, and not caring who see's your truth..?
Maybe I'm ahead of my time! lol

I am bored of seeing seeing sexy women poses in NSFW, with nothing else, not context, no sexiness, no ....erotica.

I like looking at beautiful bodies as much as anyone, but for me the written word is more enticing, erotic, sexy (especially if looking at your favorite babe at the same time.)

Discussing sex, and reading erotica is like eating a full meal - tease and all that comes with rising(?) excitement...., compared to just seeing yet another sexy piccy of a sexy girl.

Am I alone here? (well not just me - I am in a relationship - and both of us used to be in adult industry)

If not, let me know, and lets start chatting properly - an intelligent, sexy , raunchy, and downright filthy exchange.
Talking about all aspect of se x is great fun...and the orgasms are much better too!

I like fun!

My thoughts exactly, as you’ve already read over at my blog!

As for the gender gap on SteemIt, though, that may be precisely the cause. Men are much more visual and are more easily seen as nasty pervs if they speak about sex (as opposed to women who become “empowered” through it) so the majority either will refrain from the topic or be satisfied by the specie pics.
An exception may be a member of the Italian community who’s started the new sensuality trend that I’ve gladly followed. He writes in Italian, right now, but I’ll be sure to share what he may produce in English.

I’d love it if there was also an International community of sex writers to be a part of (or maybe there is and I just haven’t found it yet).

I'm not sure about that.
When it comes to steemit, I think the posts are made more just looking for up votes and making money, rather than interested in the subject of sex.

A pair of tits screen shotted from the internet is much less effort than writing.

My partner is as visual as most guys (porn etc - which I like to, don't get me wrong), but like he says - porn is the icing - a sugar rush - , but reading erotica is the whole cake. ..

(Porn is easier than reading though , especially if you are drunk and partying! lol.)

Maybe we should make a tag where only written erotica/ chat about sex, is allowed? ( I don't know how that would work here ,though...)

I don’t think tags can be appropriated. If someone uses #erotica for a pair of tits off the web, we can’t force him to change tag. But we could choose to use always the same tag when writing erotica (as first tag or one of the following). Like... well... #erotica seems the most obvious. The Italian user I’m in contact with users #erotic, so that’s what I use for my posts in Italian. But I use #erotica for the English posts already.
