From my personal experience, it's best to diversify among different platforms, as any given customer usually has a preferred medium. Some customers are on facebook regularly and could see your marketing there, a website will give them info on services etc, and twitter feeds sometimes are helpful to grow a customer base with contests, or service updates, and then linking all those together so they can see other mediums you are using while they are on their preferred.
