Dubai is already launching pilot programs in several government departments, but hopes to implement another 20 blockbuster initiatives this year.
Dubai is gradually approaching its ideal - "the city of the future." The government of the country previously formed the agency Smart Dubai, with the goal of making Dubai the most technologically advanced and smart city in the world. Part of this way is to include services on the basis of the blockbuster in a number of sectors.
IBM and Consensys, as consultants, entered into a strategic partnership with Smart Dubai to help achieve this goal.
According to The National, Aisha Bint Bouti bin Bisher, who is the CEO of Smart Dubai, says:
Despite the fact that the initial launch date was planned for 2020, Bisher is confident that some of the projects can be launched this year. For example, in fact, blocking technology is already used for transactions with the land registry.
In other government sectors, such as the Department of Naturalization and Residency of Dubai, experimental blocking programs are also being introduced. Additional departments, including Dubai Customs, collaborate with IBM to implement the planned projects.
The agency said that blocking technology will improve the provision of services by the government, saving each year more than 25 million hours by increasing productivity.
