Blockchain is here to stay.
It is a revolutionary technology that has the power to change the world in many ways, and it already has to some degree.
But we, the blockchain ecosystem, have some serious roadblocks to overcome before the world openly embraces the technology.
- User experiences for blockchain applications are terrible. Until blockchain-based apps are just as easy to use as Facebook, mass adoption will never occur.
- Blockchain development is extremely expensive and the learning curve for developers is incredibly steep.
These roadblocks might seem trivial, but they are in reality THE reasons why blockchain applications are not widespread.
This is why my team and I are building Blockstart
Blockstart
Blockstart is the world's most developer friendly blockchain platform. The focus is not to re-invent another blockchain, but instead to use proven-blockchain technology and then make it incredibly easy for developers to use.
That is why we are using the NEM blockchain as our core technology.
Blockstart Is About Apps
The blockchain industry is very exclusive. Blockchain developers build apps and tools for blockchain developers and crypto speculators. We of course need these tools, but such efforts aren't helping advocate mass adoption.
We need common users and regular developers to use the technology. This is why Blockstart is all about apps.
We have built, and are building tools for all of the major programming languages and frameworks that are used to build apps, including:
- Swift (for iOS & cross platform)
- Kotlin (for Android)
- Java (for Android)
- Javascript/TypeScript
- NodeJS
- Angular (For web apps)
- React (For web apps)
- Unity (For games)
Many blockchains are highly complex for developers - forcing them to use languages like Solidity, C++, or Go. The reality is that app developers don't use those languages.
Also, most blockchain platforms don't support mobile. Developers are forced to build centralized apps to support mobile, hosting private server layers.
Blockstart supports mobile AND is fully decentralized.
With a few lines of code, developers can:
- Create their own cryptocurrencies
- Create their own assets
- Send and receive currencies and assets
- Build marketplaces into their apps
- Build escrow services
- And a lot more
Blockstart Is About Business
There are many world-changing use cases for blockchain. Sometimes we get so tied up in the many great things that blockchain is aiming to disrupt that we forget that business needs to be disrupted too. The fact is, Small to Medium businesses make up most of the world in terms of worldwide business revenue and reach.
This is why Blockstart also has a B2B blockchain launcher. Often businesses are hesitant to consider blockchain because of the high research and development costs when they are simply interested in some of the more common features of blockchain such as tokenization.
With the click of a button businesses can launch their own blockchain through Blockstart. We host their initial nodes throughout the world, and then provide them with the tools and node installers needed to help expand their network so it can become more decentralized over time.
We want to make it incredibly simple for businesses to adopt blockchain.
Developer Features
Here are some of the features currently under development for both developers and businesses:
How To Get Started
As of today if you are a developer you can start working with our Cache token - the token which powers Blockstart. Other features are still under development.
If you would like to join our beta, please enter your email in the popup on blockstart.io.
You can learn more about Blockstart and its token Cache at getcache.io
