MY FIRST "CONTEST" EVER
INTRODUCTION
Several days ago, I had a chance to come across @originalworks contest that's related to the cryptocurrency market, and what I realized right away was that whoever is in charge of that profile did a great job!
They managed to build a strong community of mature and intelligent bloggers. A majority of those joining this contest are doing an amazing job in providing readers with valuable content.
I wont lie.
It bloody inspired me.
Let's face it, we are all on Steemit for different reasons.
My goal for instance, from the very beginning was to get to know like-minded people. Who share a similar passion towards blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, tech in general, and obviously cryptocurrencies.
Im aware that Im being followed by a number of active, knowledgeable and experienced people and I do value all your comments.

And I personally think it's a good start, I congratulate you on it and wish you every success. I believe that AI is revolutionizing our era, we have it present in almost all areas of our lives and it is becoming more and more powerful, during the writings for @originalworks I have noticed that more and more projects are integrating it together with blockchain technology, In this way, they give added value to this technology, which in itself is very valuable, they give it uses such as eliminating counterfeit products from the market, helping in the development of applications, medical uses, in short, a complete universe of increasingly powerful applications. But the coin has two sides, for example some use it to create spam right here in steemit, I think particularly that the AI and blockchain are powerful tools, but their goodness depends on who uses them, if a kind person uses them will create applications for the good of society, if a person full of evil and greed uses them we will get scams and spam applications. Regarding the power limit of these technologies I think we are still far from seeing it. It is therefore possible that the machine will outperform the man. Proof of that was the competition won by WATSON (IA of IBM) in 2014 against high IQ human contestants. The cells of these machines do not deteriorate like ours, they do not age so they have more time to learn and therefore, if we let them, they could surpass us!

What about AI and blockchain, I think we are at the threshold of global acceleration of this industry. The history of AI is not completely new and goes to the far 40's. But it's a complex science and the research of this field was expensive and was only accessible by large corporations. The most costs are related to hardware/software maintenance and a huge amount of input data. This is kind of problems blockchain is called to solve.
I believe AI may solve many problems arising from human inattention and emotionality. I'm sure that trading and prediction market are just the beginning... Maybe we'll see a government consisting of AI in the future.
Not sure this is actually a good thing, but it's possible :)
Great points, @andhovesyan. I agree with you. I believe if we as the people were to replace the whole run-a-way notion of government with a more volunteeristic AI on Blockchain and rule it as it's creators to serve and empower us sovereign beings as needed when needed then the possibilities could even become limitless.

Sure I tend to agree with the hypothesis that AI will solve a lot of issues but I have my reservations when it comes to Trading I see things from a different perspective.
I see a situation where humans will have to analyse the projections of AI and decide to make a more emotional decision considering the fact if other eventualities not considered in the forecast of AI comes up AI might be left stranded

Blockchain offers an immutable, trust less database which goes hand in hand in assisting the necessary data requirements of ai, evidently it can support a variety of system models. If anything it's going to aid ai but my technical knowledge on contemporary blockchain throughput needs enlightening, so as long as the transactions per second can be increased and scaled as envisioned by blockchain leaders, wereon the right track. Latency is a big ass concern
Which industries could be potentially affected?
How AI can benefit from using blockchain and cryptocurrencies? Perhaps you can imagine how AI will affect our lifes?
Healthcare, education, banking, NGOs, Ai, ride sharing economy, financial service providers. I suppose crypto offers a way of incentivising those engaged in the microeconomy. Such a unit of account is the output of consensus but I just wonder what if the ai understands cryptocurrency and what concerns could that raise, but we're a long while from that I suppose.
Ai is making some drastic changes. From self driving cars to personal assistance. Ai will be there to improve our lives but I worry about our privacy and governmental/private agency intents to utilize it for negative intents. Yes I'm always paranoid.
Will it change current social structures?
I believe so. Moreso for those who don't have access to AI tech due to income disparity or political/societal concerns.
Will AI be able to do daytrading for us? Better than currently humans do?
For now, no. There are bots out there and exchanges may utilize them to falsify volume but our complexity in analysing and forecasting is much more abstract than ai is (SO I BELIEVE.)

We're all dreaming, and humanity isnt sure if this step is necessary. Ultimately we've evolved to such a compex species with a multitude of requirements and PROBLEMS. AI will help solve em but drastically increase problems too.
Ultimately I'd say that this change is coming regardless and why not capitalize on this opportunity and knowledge . It's Pandora's box

@crypto.piotr I love these kinds of discussion. I am here to make my opinion doesn't really mean that you should agree with me.
I think AI and Blockchain will go hand in hand in future. We have seen companies like Google, Facebook, Amazon are in a race of developing AI structure but the problem remains the same.
When we talk about AI everything you do or search about goes into a centralized system which in anyway not safe for anyone, Facebook's privacy issues is a good example for this.
In my opinion, blockchain has provided us the solution to develop advanced AI without a centralized system. As far as trading with AI, I am never in favor of this idea.
I don't know if you are aware of this but there are bots trading on different exchanges on behalf of human and not providing any good results, on the other hand, many whales are using these bots to get control of trading volumes.
Apart from all this, I don't think it's a good idea to rely on machines for everything. Wa? Say?

I was actually also wondering for quite some time ....
We are witnessing AI growing lately and some projects want to merge this technology with blockchain.
Would AI with it's imaginable processing power be capabable to commit mentioned fraud? Will AI be able to temper with blockchain? That seem to be very possible in the future. Current cryptography level will most likely not be much of a challenge once quantum computer will become reality and AI will develop even futher.
What do you think?

I agree with you on all points, @bunnychum. Yet, trading with AI is what has slowly taken over the market and actually making a lot of people (especially whales) money and essentially leaving us normal traders in the dust in my experience. Unfortunately, more and more its becoming a game of "if you can't beat em, join em or become a HODLer" sort of thing.
Yeah, I cannot see us humans being able to compete with AI when it comes to trading.
Yeah, the more they perfect it, the less the chances. They do have an advantage of data detection and speed of reaction that just blows us away.

I don't see how can it change unless banks has been taken down and the whole world has been adopted by crypto, anything before the traditional banking era has been taken away, this remain a war between the banks and blockchain technologies. Take note that the bank is absolutely aware that they can adopt this technologies and be beneficial to their banking system, but they refused to because decentralized would also mean they have no control to the value of supply and demand

You'll see shorter delegation time and smaller request are usually needed to pay higher interest or their request will N E V E R get filled. P E R I O D. Reason being? It will take 7 days to get back to the delegator's wallet, so who is going to pay for the interest between that 7 days? Put it this way, in our #cn community, the most effective curators are 3 bots,2 with AI and 1 static bots. The top 30% of upvotes effectiveness in terms of payout vs voting percentage vs amount of author being upvoted vs posts being upvoted, are all being done by 3 bots. Imagine we have more than 500 chinese author, and the 3 bots taken over 30% of our workload.
Have you seen people replying to bot? Another person saw me talking to the bot, came and ask if I'm an idiot. I told the person I'm trying to make friend with the bot so I can continue to get upvote. Guess what, I found the person who think I have something wrong with my brain started communicating with the bot. ROTFFLMFAO!!! My answer is, FUCK YEAH
The answer is yes and no. For current situation, no way an AI bot can beat human because there's still human traders out there. Human greed and fear changes according to weather, according to mood, according to stomach emptiness, or just because of sex drive. I'm not fucken with ya. There will be 1 day a trader missed his quickie because his wife is not in the mood, the trader could have make a nasty call to trigger all stop losses by simply hunt them with super cheap offering price. A robot will never see that coming because "criteria" is not met. Robot doesn't have sex. Human do. So yeah, if there's 1 day, the entire TRANSACTIONS has been taken over by bots, then AI will win. But as long as there's 1 physical human standing there, AI will never win because the "human" complaints, and "the mechanic" will have to whee his/her heads off to fix the bot. Fucken losers!

There's so many development here in Steem, as in everywhere around the crypto world. Nowadays. crypto community has become more mature and self regulated by its COMMON SENSE, which is a good thing because we don't require a discipline teacher to cane us. As every good thing will have it's bad side. Those self policing organization, calling themselves keeping the community in order and to make the place safe, is a total dickheads. Many of a time, a flag war that is targeting another language, cross fired to the #cn community. Their so called AI bots, which claims they can read posts, search over the WWW to find similar content for plagiarism, warn other readers about copy pastas. Guess what, it successful AI bot only managed to catch some English plagiarized stuff. The Chinese ones, has never even once catching any plagiarism, we had to do it manually. Oh and, the bot came and comment for potential plagiarism on original author like myself who has never quoted or copying anything from outside of Steemit. Let's face it, Chinese AI bots will only work for Chinese community. English AI bot can only work for English. Period. Grammar alone will take ages to fix an AI bot, not to mention the crazy Chinese strokes that has billions of combination. Sorry if this doesn't seem to answer the question above directly, but the question is just way too broad and I had to shrink it down to the way I can answer you. Our father never even came close to any of this kind of AI thing we mentioning today. When I tell my father I have a robot who trade currency on my behalf, he said please bring the bot and meet him so he can shake the bot's hand. LOLz. I mean, to him a robot is a exoskeleton human like structured object, that's what James Cameron taught them in Terminator. SkyNet doesn't need a physical exoskeleton robot to trigger world war, it can fire a nuke and wipe US off by simply execute a line of command. The future is too damn far to GUESS what is going to happen tomorrow. We will just have to set our border, prepare for the worst, hope for the best, be the early adopters. How many times people has missed BTC entry? Including recently someone told me BTC will crash when I'm actively sending emails to my friend to ask for buys since it rejected RSI30%? Dude. I kid you not. We have 3 Chinese bots monitoring the Chinese blogger community. The bot will make comment based on tags, wording triggers, also word counts criteria. Upvoted being given according to reputation score. And amongst the bot, they intercommunicate. Checkout any of my Chinese posts and you'll immediately see 3 bots there. No I don't buy votes from these bots. They simply our AI curators.

There will be 1 day, an AI bot will start programming itself to "talk" to people and get them to feed their active key into their data base. There's also possibilities that an AI bot will be able to self optimize to generate a 52char pass code to hack any account. But again, all these "AI" required a beneficiaries in order to make it "worthwhile" for all these process.
Put it this way, why does SkyNet trigger world war? Why is there rogue robot? Who are the beneficiaries? I don't see any time soon AI can really think by itself. Atleast not until the day when AI "realized" human being is actually the "virus" of the earth. Quote Matrix, human has been consuming earth, moving from one place to another and spoil whatever they can and consume any resources they can possibly put their hands on.
Oh wait. we are now talking about AI. Human does make their own trouble. Check out STEALTH as well. You can't tell an AI learn this, don't learn that.

To tell you the truth, what gives me energy to spent extra hours in front of laptop are people like you. So supportive and understanding. We're on the same page here and the way I see it is simple: I put tons of hours engaging with people I've found valuable. I want us all to grow together.
Lets face it. Blockchain, crypto, AI - all those technologies will create opportunities we can only dream about. So Im investing in "human capital" and so far it's working Your comments are an excelent proov that it is paying back :)

I totally agree with you, @davidke20, about the main issue being the banks (i.e. the powers that be). I was going to go into that too on my comment below, but thought it might get a bit too long.
Maybe because I'm an idealist and optimist, but I believe that the combination of AI on especially fully distributed blockchain technology have the potential to even appease the central banker oligarchs into laying down their arms of "control" on the rest of us peons, they believe can't do anything without them, and settling for a mediating combination of the two in order to level the playing field. They see us as savage beasts and we see them as the same, albeit more authoritarian tyrants who will stop at nothing to get what they want. So I see the combination of AI on especially fully distributed blockchain technology as a sort of peacemaker mediator combination of technologies, which both sides of the equation could possibly learn to entrust to bring about a new paradigm shift. Have a read of my comment below and, if you'd like, let me know what you think of this possibility. I'm curious :)

I find the topic very fascinating too, Piotr. You pose some very good questions that I have seen all through out the media too... There are tons of different directions I've seen on that. Quantum computing is just one of them, albeit that is buried in a lot of smoke and mirrors too (something I know far too much about). There's no doubt the bankster elite have the capability to do all sorts of fraud, as they have been doing for millennia. I mainly tried to stay on the bright ideological side of the huge potential the marriage of 2 technologies have, given I doubted you wanted it to become a book long... :)
The bottom line is the two technologies have the capabilities to destroy mankind and our Earth or help us to evolve to something far greater. The choice is really up to all of us collectively, by individually choosing to focus on what we really and truly want the most (vs. the thoughts planted into our head via media that keep us down "thinking" we are powerless) and then barreling ahead full speed ahead after that goal.
Being the deep thinker and writer I tend to be, I started replying to @allcapsonezero's comment/post for your competition, but it's getting so long and deep, I think I'll hold off completely from posting it there, as I am thinking this topic really deserves a post of it's own to get a few ore steemians into possibly commenting too... If I do, I'll be sure to add links to this post contest for sure as the catalyst that started me off on this deeply profound train of thought.

Great points, @outerground. I had forgotten about the Sophia story of the first AI bot to become a citizen of a country, Saudi Arabia.
Sophia comes out with some profound statements. I'm sure it's the beginnings of the evolution of truly Godlike entities. And like the Gods of old, they will be fierce, capricious and take no messing around from ordinary mortals. We may end up like tantrum prone infants in the presence of grown ups when AI begins to form it's own ideas about the world !! let's hope we all learn something along the way.

I have not combined AI and blockchain very much in my thinking until now... thanks for the brain exercise. If you look at cryptocurrencies like IOTA for example, they are designed to be a means for machines to pay each other micro-transactions. It would obviously only be relevant for machines to be paying each other in an automated (human free) system. This is assuming some intelligence among machines, or brilliant intelligence among the humans who set up the system. This is just one example of crypto and AI melding that I can think of. If we take this step a bit further, we have machines involved in automated processes where there is an economy among these automated processes. This is already world changing.
If you were a part of setting up the automation, or are on one end of the business or the other... there is income being generated where human hands need not go any longer. This could very easily increase the disparity between the haves (who now have machines making them money) and the have-nots (who now have machines that have replaced them and their source of income).
This will need to change the current social structure, as a large majority of people will have been rendered useless. The systems will not be able to continue to operate on the concept that every person must have a useful function in society. There just will not be enough functions for everyone. This was always more about power and control than over the creation of a perfectly functioning economy where everyone has a place. This pretense can no longer exist. This is why I see the rise of universal basic income being thrown out into debates and on talk radio etc. It is not a coincidence or a revolution... it is a means of preparing us for the next system where humans will not be at the center of all that needs to be done. The power structure will remain, the haves will continue to have. They will be forced to provide for the basic needs (and no more) of the have nots.
The utopian world that our parents believed in where the machines would make us need to work less was just a clever marketing scheme to sell machines. The AI revolution will be no different if the people in control can keep it. They will sell us on basic income and AI and keep their hands on the control. If we as a people are to break free from this system of control, governments, economic power, banks etc... blockchain technology may play a part in removing banks and governments, but the money held by those in power will transfer that power to the new dominant currency. Government was always under the thumb of the money, and that will likely follow suit in the new dominant currency. Fear is a powerful weapon and powerful weapons create fear. As long as there is power upheld by armed forces, there will be a fear of that power and control will always follow. Technology and AI can only take us so far. Until fear is removed as the instrument of control, we are stuck in a box and power dictates how the world will be. This does not mean that we don't have a say. Many great minds are working hard to create the future that they want to see. The people in control are always working to keep control and see all of the things that threaten that control. They are working to stay a few steps ahead of the cutting edge changes that are coming. They are preparing for them. They will need to adopt blockchain technology because they can't beat it. They see it coming and are already preparing us. I hope that some can stay a step ahead of those trying to stay a step ahead... it is a tall order. If we are to become truly free as a people, we need to see the power for what it is, and see the steps they are taking before they take them.
Sorry for painting such a bleak picture. The power struggle has been going on for a really long time. It crucified Christ, killed JFK Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Gandhi, brought the rise of Hitler, Bush, Trump etc. Power is willing to go great lengths to keep it. They see blockchain tech, AI and know what it is capable of. They have been planning a way to implement it and keep control. Keep your eyes open.
I agree, @allcapsonezero, it is a bleak picture in many aspects, but I started really diving into such a deep long response here, I've decided I think I'll hold off for now and play with making it a post of it's own. If and when I do, I'll be sure to put the link here and credit you some as well for being part of the catalyst that sparked it all :) If I end up deciding not to, I come back here and add it here.

I'm having difficulty with motivating myself here on steemit, especially on that one, which is so complex. It's just been one disappointment after another here the last several weeks now, after seeing yesterday evening my last week's post on the steemit warlords only got 58% of the author rewards. All for one damn comment I made and a monster million dollar whale nuked me for. With a CEO who has disappeared for 2 months and money that takes 13 more weeks to get out of SP, I keep asking myself why waste my time here. Especially, when I joined Minds dot com 5 days ago and have already received over 3,000 views, 147 subscribers and 10 tokens w/o investing anything more than time and material. Anyway, sorry to digress. I'll take a walk and mull on it some...

Too many... LOL... I had to take some time to go climb the mountain a bit here... Got back and saw my number one crypto, Stellar finally going Stellar again... at the top mover of the week of the top 19. It may really be what IBM said, that the central banks are about to go stellar, launching their central bank crypto currencies on the stellar platform. Who knows.

We are witnessing AI growing lately and some projects want to merge this technology with blockchain.
Would AI with it's imaginable processing power be capabable to commit mentioned fraud? Will AI be able to temper with blockchain? That seem to be very possible in the future. Current cryptography level will most likely not be much of a challenge once quantum computer will become reality and AI will develop even futher.

Quantum computing becoming a thing has been mentioned as the event that could make blockchain's such as Bitcoin not 100% secure. AI could certainly pose a threat in that regard in the coming days.

AI & Blockchain Comments
Artificial intelligence(AI) can be likened to Human intelligence (HI) and Blockchain can be likened to an immutable record book. The combination of Blockchains to AI can be imagined to be "A secure human mind", but only more secure. While machines are made to think for themselves through information gathered, this input or memory per say once inputed cannot be hacked due to the Unhackability of the blockchain, hence it creates a more secure form of intelligence.
The decentralization of the blockchain enables scalability, hence it promotes what can be imagined as an infinite mind. With the Blockchain, AI algorithms can be powered to serve a large amount of users and a huge and complex tasks.
We know that humans run after value that's why people are more settled around areas with the most resources. The Blockchain brings Value to the Artificial Intelligence industry and what does that mean? - yes! You got that right more settlements around the industry. In no time we'd see people using AI in so many social interactions more than we already do like in customer services and in some automated systems.
About using the power of AI in cryptotrading, SIGNAL a platform based on the blockchain, plans to do this excellently well. Although still in its ICO stage. There are other trading bots but none I know of is based on the power of the blockchain.
The combination of AI and BC is an undisputable tag-team. A combination of intelligence, scalability and security. They will give birth to the future, a future once dreamed of by our fathers!😏

We all know that Artificial intelligence (AI) has grown to have a certain stigma that many are very fearful about it's potential apocalyptic takeover of humanity and the world once it gets to that level of intelligence. Numerous films, television and media have really embedded that notion into the psyche of so many for decades now. Blockchain technology has the potential to dispel some, if not all, of those fears, especially if it is fully distributed and once people really understand the real benefits of fully distributed blockchain technology.
We often hear the word, decentralized (see "B" below), but rarely remember that decentralized is really a compromise between centralized (see "A" below) and distributed (see "C" below) in terms of how the infrastructure of blockchain technology is setup. Below is a simple illustration of the differences between them.
One of the real strengths of bitcoin and it's longevity is how it's infrastructure is distributed. Blockchain technology is generally termed a distributed or decentralized public digital ledger that is used to record transactions across many computers so that the record cannot be altered retroactively without the alteration of all subsequent blocks and the collusion of the network. It is basically peer-to-peer, where if one gets hacked or has any sort of issue, the others keep that one in check.
Fully distributed blockchain technology offers AI the most transparency, openness, reliability, performance and scalability. With the checks and balances that distributed blockchain technology offers, it is my belief that it has the potential to keep in check any potential AI Apocalypse from ever happening, even the playing field like humanity has never seen before and thus together with AI can change the world in ways that one might imagine if we had all the technology revolutions of the past at the same time. We are at the cutting edge of something humanity has waited for since we first had the ability to dream. I believe this is the paradigm shift that will finally help humanity evolve to something beyond our wildest dreams.
Maybe it's because I'm an idealist and optimist, but I believe that the combination of AI on especially fully distributed blockchain technology has the potential to even appease the central banker oligarchs into laying down their arms of "control" on the rest of us peons, they believe can't do anything without them, and settling for a mediating combination of the two in order to level the playing field. They see us as savage beasts and we see them as the same, albeit more authoritarian tyrants who will stop at nothing to get what they want. So I see the combination of AI on especially fully distributed blockchain technology as a sort of peacemaker mediator combination of technologies, which both sides of the equation could possibly learn to entrust to bring about a new paradigm shift.
Ok put it this way. I'm an asshole. LOLz. Not exactly. The banks are. And I'm the pain in their ass as well. Why does people trust the bank in the first place? It's not like people don't understand their money will depreciate by leaving them collect interest in their savings account. The interests has absofuckinglutely no ground compare to the ACTUAL inflation we had everyday. Imagine 10 years ago, an apple probably costs only 5cents. Today, an apple is actually selling at 50cents. How much interest do they earn from their deposits interests?
I'm not against AI. But who control the weight, who input the parameter? This will N E V E R get a self balance unless the government give free hand to the public to self regulate like now. But then, again the SOCIAL issue came aboard. Self policing community will come and make up their own rules and start raping people with whatever power they had. Ever watch Resident Evil? In the end, who actually control all these? It could have been the server in the hive which has a mind of it's own? Oh wait!

To me, a freedom that given within limited authority for certain "level" of people, is exactly the same as communism. Fuck me I'm a Chinese! Oh believe me I'm not a fucking communist. As your own reply to me, the bank knows even employing blockchain technologies, they will still have control with their own arms, but they can't control their customer. Take yourself as an example, the bank has decided to flag you and now your reputation left 4, you as a "customer" you can actually choose to open a new account with an absolutely new identity. So what if you had contributed 405 posts over the last 3 weeks? You probably need another 6 months to get yourself back to 46 from where you are right now unless you rubbed a whale. Again, whalecum. You can always transfer all your available funds to the exchange, and sponsor yourself a new account with whatever you've earned existingly without leaving a trace. Nobody will know your new account is the same owner of this account. This is what blockchain CANT control, their customer. Check again on my reply, I did said I BELIEVE it can be done, but not until the traditional banking system be put out of the picture.

None of the current systems of "government" have really worked and seem to all be coming to an end where they have to evolve. I strongly believe we need a new system... or better yet a non governmental system, more along the lines of Volunteerism. The Austrian school of economics is probably the closest... And yeah, I know, I'm a dreamer too, because dreaming the only way out of this box we we "think" we live in that is really programmed into us. But I still believe these new technologies, if steered in the right direction in the right way have the potential for helping in this to a huge degree too. This is one thing that excites me some too, because I know there are a growing number of brilliant people out there waking up more and more to all of this, who have the skills, talent and even money to make it happen.

Here is my entry for this written contest:
AI is one of the most controversial topic out there right now. And I have no doubt about the possibilities in terms of what AI can do in any kind of technology.
And coming from a Computer Science background, I know that nothing is impossible in terms of technology. The question how much are you willing to put into it?
The most interesting part of AI is its' impact on human society. I believe if we keep developing AI at some point human will be redundant and out of the equation in no time at all if we take no precaution.
If you ever come across AI trying to escape news. You should have a idea of what could happen. Regardless of how much is true in this news or what message the author wants to deliver to the audience.
So unless we create an AI with a guidance and/or sets of rules, at some point we will lose control. And surely it will have a major impact on human society. Now, what kind of bad impact? I personally not sure but I think being redundant and out of the equation would just be a start.
PS. I might be watching too much Sci-fi movie and conspiracy theories but hey! If decentralization could happen, surely super intelligent AI is just around the corner.

I think if the AI is build to have its own freedom which means it is some kind of entity that is free to do whatever it wants. I think tempering with blockchain is quite possible. Although it is said that to temper with blockchain you would need a lot of processing power that its not economic at current time. Who says it will still impossible in the future?
That makes sense I guess. AI creating another AI could be a loop hole. Not sure how you would program that. It's been a while since I looked at codes and my mind just switch into coding mode when I'm writing this reply.

I think that if we create AI that will be limited and with little freedom but they will be able to create their own AI (without those limitation) then we may face real problems.
I hope cryptography will also progress on another level.

Dear @ crypto.piotr First I would like to thank you for reading my posts and leaving those wonderful words of encouragement. This topic of yours invokes a lot of thoughts in my mind and my heart and there are 3 different streams of thought that it stimulates one is that of what and how we perceive AI due to the exposure we get in the media, news and films. Second stream is that of a content developer and what I come across due to the reading and researching about technology. The thrid stream of thought has more to do with my role as a consultant,developer and tech guy. So without much moderation I would rather thing aloud and share my thought here we go...
How AI supported by growing blockchain technology can change the world?
Before we talk of AI or artificial Intelligence
I would like to start my contribution to this discussion by mentioning that our species Homo Sapiens happens to be sitting on top of the pyramid by virtue of being intelligent beings (I know there are plenty of contexts where this statement is debatable but we won't discuss them here)
So when AI or tries to find its place an underlying fear of AI going rogue and turn against the human species surfaces. Remember the movie I-Robot where the story gravitates around a robot going rogue? Or Johny 5 from Short Circuit(1986) where a robot develops emotions where it is not supposed to be having any. I know these are far fetched things still this thought has played on our mind as a species and used successfully as a plot by numerous film makers. However it does underline the fear of our species that computers could become more intelligent then us the creators and turn against us.
However Sophia the AI robot is still far away from that.
Enter Blockchain a ledger that logs every activity so AI related activities are logged so their is good opportunity that AI would not grow rogue. It would also create a transparent and easy to access and validate log and this would open up endless possibilities of growth, research and innovation.
Secondly I feel that Weather forecasting (the Met department) would be one of the first to use. As a lot of super computing is required in that field.
Another field would be medical research and our race against time to find new treatments and better diagnostics can be seen as the fields where AI can be adopted and made use of.
I feel AI is more like a magic clay that can be molded to suit almost every industry where labor intensive repetitive tasks are required to be performed and you need to draw results from a large amount of data.So I feel blockchains, Big Data,IOT and AI would go hand in hand.
It is only that the approach to programming is changing.
All these are technical fields with a high entry barrier however due to the serious shortage of talent
the pyramid structure would need more drag and drop programing interfaces to pop up so less technical people can program apps and more technical people can over see the creation of more complex codes.
It is also a perception as to how we perceive AI
Siri and its other brethren are already in our phones and part of our lives and we hardly realize that we are using AI in our own lives . Chatbots are common and are very friendly and can help users and take the burden away from the shoulders of human customer care executives.
There are API's available to use some of these assets and create new programs in the field of IOT and create home automation solutions or interact with other devices. I mention this because I see these new synergies being forged and convergence of technologies happening all the time.

Blockchain and AI are the two extremities of the technology (centralized intelligence and decentralized applications).
The intersection of these two births precision, that eliminates errors through encoded algorithm leaving audit trail that are traceable affecting almost all industries.
Many say that blockchain will do to traditional banking what the internet did to the media but the intersection of AI to blockchain will push traditional banking institutions hard as transaction can be done and traced without third party at even lower cost.
These Innovation will further disorientate the present Social structure, imagine Someone in Port Harcourt been able to purchase a commodity in Porto without fear leveraging on the audit trail of blockchain and the precision of AI algorithm.
Many might even risk leveraging on AI trading abilities, I favor the use of AI to analyze market structures and and making mathematics forecast but the human trader picks up a strategy to execute the AI findings.
Paradoxically AI will tend to be a big all, big time innovation as time flies replacing many but human will always be prevalent making those strategic decision at the final third, birthing and improving AI in the process.

I think AI must be built on top of blockchain, because the power that it gives to the inventor is enormous, and as we know, big power corrupts. If general AI is born in consensus-based environment we can use 51% attack against it (in case something goes wrong).
AI will change everything. We can't even imagine all implications now.
AI is already better than humans in trading (especially in day-trading).
99% of all human skills will be worthless in the near future (10-20 years). Don't waste time polishing your skills, instead think how you can apply AI in your field.
So, for us, who want to succeed in this new world it's better to keep robots as best friends.

Artificial intelligence is something that we want or not is part of the technological north that humanity has drawn. We see it in movies, series, animes, and countless science fiction novels that comment on possible scenarios in which we would be involved in living and interacting with AI. This effect is colossal, it is overwhelming and due to the action of the cinema, it is something that gives a certain fear, to believe that a technology either a virtual or physical machine has a brain that can self-learn, correct itself, and self-govern.
These concepts are very advanced and difficult to digest, it is not easy to understand them and assimilate that the blockchain technology drives these developments. Artificial intelligence already exists in our society, of course many do not notice, and do not know that every time you enter the Google browser, or are Facebook, there are intelligent algorithms running that are analyzing your patterns, your searches, topics of interest, contacts , and more, it is a complete madness, companies are always analyzing us. But all this technology is centralized and works exclusively for corporate groups and elites. Today the blockchain has changed the balance, and generates tension in the corporate world since it is offering the opportunity for everyone to access, develop and benefit from virtual machines with their own intelligence.
It is necessary to know that in the industrialized world there are corporations that handle the monopoly for decades of different industries and require to maintain control of the systems and people, and make us go to them as regulators, controllers and organizers. That is why the world is centralized, they created the need to require an organism that controls everything and is an intermediary between two parties.
Artificial intelligence is necessary, remember that man takes advantage of his intelligence and knowledge to try to live better, and developments are made that allow us to achieve the automation of everyday, rudimentary processes where the human factor is subject to fatigue, emotions and objectivity.
The artificial intelligence is being developed to go to something beyond a simple machine and to be able to make decisions based on the circumstances that arise, of course the AI can make mistakes, and generate thousands of arguments, the scenario can be catastrophic or it can be very interesting for human life, as long as the developers focus on creating machines for good.
I have read many reports, and some indicate that the country that can develop and master the best artificial intelligence technology will win any war and control the world.
I think that technological developments are good and good for all, but man has directed them to competition, conflict and evil.
Certainly the artificial intelligence we want or not, will be here and I think that to stay, it is up to us to accept it today or after a few years. We will live a world where there will be a distributed global network, with virtual machines running intelligent algorithms that will process, govern, certify and share information, and that will be self-sustaining, efficient, self-governed, and will become more intelligent every day.

How AI supported by growing blockchain technology can change the world?
I think combination of these two things will be very useful, revolutionary and dangerous. As you can see in the case of Crowd Machine, Blockchain gives opportunity to rovolutionize the way that we develop, write and run applications. In my opinion that system finally gives possibility to create neural network which actually thinks in the same way as our brains and it leads to create genuine artificial intelligence. Due to that, the most influential companies in the world can be affected, beacuse decentralized Blockchain, especially powered by AI, offers much bigger potential and comfort for its users. I think that recent Facebook's issues and becoming Blockchain more and more popular marks the beggining of the end of the centralized services.
If it comes to the potential purposes of the AI, I think that it will be able to do daytrading much better than we actually do. Although we have some mathematical formulas, analysis and computer programs to predict market fluctuations, AI will be able to take into consideration much more aspects. Its decisions won't depend on its mood or weather and it will be able to predict people's behavior using psychological model.
In my opinion it will also have an impact on social structres. Many of already existing professions can be replaced by AI, so many people will be dismissed probably. However, AI will also open many prospects for new professions, so it will mix a bit the social structures we know today.
I think humanity isn't ready for such a big step, I could compare it to the industrial or IT revolution, but it is much more dangerous and we can't predict its effects for sure. Artificial intelligence combined with blockchain is very exciting and promising but we have to take the responsibility for every potential effect of this technology.

Having read some of the opinions expressed above, I would say that banks are still not willing to accept a decentralized system such as the block chain. If this were to happen at any point in time, one of the first industries to be affected is the financial sector, I also agree with the statement made by @davidke20 where it explains this in a simple way.
We might be ready for this alliance of technologies like AI and blockchain, but I also think that the world is not ready for the alliance of both, as every day there are new projects that are more fantastic than the previous ones, and although there are already some crypts that already use the IA, there is still some time left for this great combination to mature, which in the not too distant future will help us to improve, to reduce the work force, to carry out the orders quickly, thanks to the alliance and why not? to make better human beings, you know I think there's no doubt that we would talk about a triology:

There are already some very well thought through and inspirational comments available here, but i am happy to add my 2 satoshis nonetheless:
AI and blockchain are two megatrends, that certainly have a potential to reinforce and strengthen each other.
As for AI i think it's important, to look at what it does mean, as nowadays any complex decision making algorithm is called AI, because it's cool and it's catchy. AI in its proper sense means, that a software is made capable to evaluate the results of its prior decisions and include these results to adapt its decision making process. This requires incredibly complex structures and of course ressources and currently only a few really big players are able to really provide any relevant outcomes (Google, Apple, IBM)
Blockchain as a globally set up data-source and also target for an AI's operation is perfectly suitable for machine learning, and it can achieve operational excellence in fields like supplychain-management, financial-trading and autnomous driving, with results that surpass and even impress our imagination. But nevertheless AI will remain in the boundary of a logical framework set and intrinsically limited by human capability. So as much as machines will outcompete us in any operational task, strategical decision will always remain with humans, and here i think Vitalik is wrong in his hopes that AI will be able to solve something like blockchain governance.
Different from the story many dystopies tell us, the only negative effect of AI usage for man himself will be a laziness to utilize its own intelect, and deliberately leave decisions to machines.Thank you @crypto.piotr for inviting me to this special contest! The topic and structure of this contest are just amazing and superior to a lot out there, as it goes for quality.
A major obstacle for a fruitful integration of AI and blockchain tech is the centralisation aspect. Decentralisation is one of the main aspects and major benefits of blockchain tech. On the other end, as i've stated above, good AI is currently the property of really big players, who certainly have no interest in yielding their power to newcomers. So before AI/blockchain synergies can really be used on a broad scale, we will need to see a reconcilliation of these opposing forces.

I think firstly crypto will be used as popular after that, people will use bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. It ıs mostly about generations. Old generations can't even use their phones. But with new generations, we will use more AI. and more crypto...
So, for now, we are not ready for all these innovations yet. We need 20 years more to get what we need about tec. I hope we all will see all these developments together.

I am not afraid of higher level technologies like uncle Elon does. Some people say even cars can be controlled by bad people who would like to abuse, I think decentralized Blockchain technology will make it impossible to be hacked. New generation fridges can change its own air condition level, it realizes when it is cold. It looks this is not future robots. I think all of them are robots for me which are using AI. What about Smart House Technologies... All of their problems is security. Because they can be hacked easily. Blockchain tec. will make them secure. After this people will rely on them. When people rely on, this technology will be developed faster than before. With these tecs. of course bitcoin will be our future. We will order our pierniki and paruwka on the fridge. I know basic AI and how it works. I can forsee blockchain doing away with the tyranny of teachers and the barbaric nature of education that continues today. There will be testing but it will be more collective guided, like arguments and discussions here on steemit. The individual will initiate the testing and the level up within education will be more congruent to where the student really is within their learning process. It will be a huge paradigm shift that may end the whole grades and grading stratifications. I can imagine the curriculum will be more like video games. The student has to be motivated towards finishing the level defeating the boss. If they are smart enough they hack and convince the group consensus that they belong at a higher cred number.

@crypto.piotr - LOL, It's ironic how I just posted about an AI cryptocurrency project! So, I think it's apt that I use my example of my latest article on SingularityNET.
This project is trying to create Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) which is AI on the level of human intelligence which has to pass the Turing Test. Today, we have ANIs - which are Artificial Narrow Intelligences. These can be thought of singular or siloed algorithms which perform a specific role and operate in the domain of that role very well. Examples of ANIs would be the algorithms used in Self Driving Cars, Quant Hedge Funds, Facebook Targeted Advertising, NSA Profiling & Advanced Robotics (Such as the ones in automotive factories).
However, like I said before, these are siloed algorithms which have a singular purpose and are inflexible by design. They are also designed by corporations for a specific purpose for two reasons - it is easier to make a siloed ANI & it helps them automate a certain role (ie - replace a human with an algo). Now, SingularityNET wants to build an intercommunicable blockchain where different people can buy and sell AI services and where people and institutions can source their AI code using the AGI cryptocurrency as the currency or reward. They also want to make a blockchain where AI can communicate and learn from each other. The technical, coding & mathematics details are quite complex and I go into a higher level abstract in my post, but the purpose of this is to ultimately create an AGI or a brain consisting of different AIs which is an open-sourced, decentralized AI which is very powerful and which can lead us to the Singularity. This can actually change the world because, it will have AI that is able to compute and actually process information, adapt to new environments just as the human brain does, except with exponentially less computational limits or errors.
Since the AGI would be decentralized, it would allow all humans with computational resources ( a smartphone or a PC, etc. to access the abundance of information or knowledge. And you know what they say, knowledge is power 😉

Unfortunatelly I dont use Discord/whatsapp etc. Im more of an email guy. About 3 years ago I realized that I spent to much time online so I got rid of my cellphone. Now once I close my laptop - Im 100% offline. Amazing feeling :)

The above list in my opinion makes up the present and future of the world economy and how these factors plays together has a lot to say about the progress of freedom in the world.
Since the inception of blockchain technology, it looks like the world now thinks 10X more than before. This is not about an improvement in in the brain capacity but by empowerment. The blockchain technology gives people the ability see to the realization of dreams even with limited capital.
The traditional system of business startup did not allow entrepreneurs to freely put forward their innovations to public test but blockchain technology made this into a reality.
People are able to raise funding by just projecting the idea and this is what I think freedom should be about in the 21st century.
AI is on the verge of major rapture as it has been brought into the light of blockchain technology by Effect.ai team. In my opinion, AI is the future either with blockchain tech or just in the traditional system.
I am a medical scientist and I have come to see the relevance of AI in my field. Now it is amazing how we can access so much information from the human body by just the click of a button. Initially, we needed dead bodies to be able to perform some medical studies but today, we just need a blood sample or pieces of cells from the living body.
This is a practical view of the relevance of AI and I look forward to the future of Health care when AI and Blockchain tech is finally incorporated.
I am also personally in search for partners to start a unique innovation with eCommerce, making full use of blockchain technology to create freedom. And I think the future can only be exciting.
@crypto.piotr, I am glad you drew my attention to this and I am glad I participated. It is great connecting with like-minded individuals and I find you as one. Lets continue to build a future better than our ancestors did. A future of peace and true freedom.

First of all I apologize for the delay in my participation, you are an excellent creator of content which deserves more attention.
Being BlockChain an information system built on a collective support notion, all or almost all the proposals built in this system are born with an idea of collective support and management in terms of computational power and development as a whole, so that all we can contribute and enjoy the benefits offered by this ecosystem. That is why the construction of open source works and the creative contribution that any user can offer around the world is appreciable, thus providing the system with a large number of qualities.
As always, the problem does not lie in the technology but in the use that is given, no doubt many systems are built under selfish interests, but nevertheless in the time I have studied the world of the cryptocurrency I have understood that the vision of collective development predominates in the masses.
I think that every sector can be affected in a positive or negative way, but nevertheless next to the great technologies there are also new patterns of adaptability as a result of these practices, so everything lies in the use that is given to this system.
The use of BLockChain and Cryptocurrencyes by projects like the AI is nothing more than a consequence of attracting new users, to add minds and clear investment capital, since this new financial system is revolutionizing the world through of current economic activities across the globe fosters the conception of new projects and work plans. Which is affecting our lives in a positive way facilitating entrepreneurship, providing tools available to everyone.
I am not in favor of the implementation of AI for economic activities, and although currently they have gained a lot of weight under said application, the reality is that the occupation of this technology erratically and selfishly propitiates the monopoly and manipulation of the market.
I consider that the AI is a very controversial and recurring topic these last couple of years since the benefits that this can offer in projection to the large number of uses in which this can be seen are quite broad, facilitating and automating a large amount of processes.
It seems to me that many existing technologies are changing the world gradually, but nevertheless these transitions merit great maturity in terms of consumer culture and manipulation, as mentioned by the great philosophers, an ingorant being is an instrument of its own destruction and Unbridled gross consumerism is a practice that afflicts the individual and mitigates a large number of their capacities or growth potentials

Hi Piotr, you again managed to ask a question that just asks for answering ;-). Since I would probably write a whole book to answer all the possible subjects, I will concentrate on only one of them.
Here my contest entry:
The big banks already understood that machines are much more efficient when it comes to trading shares or currencies. They have been employing the best graduates in mathematics from the most renown universities to build up algorithms for trading bots. They use them to do high frequency trading (several operations within seconds) and more importantly for the usage of derivative products like options or futures. At the big banks there is hardly any trade made by a human being... Well that is not completely true since they still trade the shares and bonds of their customers by humans and ask for commissions for doing so.
So while the normal people have to pay the banks for buying and selling shares without the knowledge collected by the algorithms, the banks have much better options.
AI and blockchain might level the playground
If it becomes possible to program bots according to the best algorithms and that this knowledge becomes available to everybody as open source code, then it will be possible that all players on the markets play with the same guns.
How long will it take?
A couple of years ago, I would never have thought it to be possible. But I think now that we are just a couple of steps away from it. I have friends who already run their own bots on Bitrex or Kraken. For the moment, it is quite difficult to run them because there are too many settings and the chances of losing are as big as the chances of winning.
Wouldn't it be nice if we could all profit from the best technology based on AI and blockchain, to have an automated income on the share markets?

I was telling @riovanes in another thread that I gave my 17 year old son some crypto for Christmas. He formed a trading group in one of the social media sites for trading that he admin's, has been experimenting with using bots one of the members develops for trading and in the bear market since he turned $200 into around $11k (i.e. about 5,000%). I was just trying to get him to explain to me better how he is using it. Evidently, he uses the bot to help speed up the trading patters and kick in trades when certain data indicates a price is about to go down or visa versa. Talk about beginner's luck... :)
I am always amazed how fast the young ones check these things. He has a good start to finance his future studies ;-) and maybe he will develop an open source trading boot with his friends that will help us all!

good day my friends, the truth is that the AI has been without advances of great importance for many years, and that is only one thing, the centralization of the projects and with it that of the ideas, so when the blockchain technology arrives the AI will surely generate a great boost, thousands of people are passionate about that world, so thousands of new ideas, thousands of projects growing, many of them being the solution of bigger projects, will be inevitably the expansion and insurance will bring new ways to the AI, it is very beautiful what the block technology can create for the human being, and the AI will not be the exception !!
sure the large corporations will be the most affected, they always seek the blocking of new ideas that do not emerge within them, but who cares? I prefer miles of small companies doing amazing things, a giant that encloses the future and the advancement of technologies, so we will always have a better world if we move towards the decentralization of ideas and technology, of that I am sure

Actually I work in logistics and dream about having the blockhain and especially AI applied to my environment.First i thank you @crypto.piotr for inviting me to your contest.
A small example is that I am right now trying to teach a neuronal network to fill out some excel worksheets for me by gathering data from different types of files and sources. I see a huge opportunity in so many ways it would take a while to read this comment. Thus I try to keep it short.
Just take a step into the future and imagine that trucks are driving on their own to their destination and may need fuel or repair. How do they pay at fuel stops? What about breakdowns?
IOTA can and will make a change here.
In the future a whole load of machines will pay on their own for 'their' and our needs. The truck may have his own wallet charged by you with some type of digital currency. If a breakdown occurs or a repair/wash/refuel/whatever is needed it communicates online with some other bot and automatisation will fully kick in.
Or imagine that your personal DATA is protected by a 'guard' and you may present your digital self to whom you want as you want. You may also sell your metadata directly to companies.
What I really like about blockchain is decentralisation and the power to cut out the middle men and be your own 'master'. If you have a trust issue just take the crypto pill. Read please just read the fucking whitepaper. Think about it and then read more about the whole environment. It will make sense why these types of services are useful and powerful.
Now about AI. This is my feeling about it in short story from a book I've read:
The AI Prometheus was created by a team of ai specialists. They savely stored Prometheus on a combuter called 'Pandoras Box'. When they opened Pandoras Box and let out Prometheus. It took about a year to rule the world. I am not sure where this planet is heading but opportunities are huge. Cheers nope.

AI is an area with great potential. It has always amazed us with the results it can bring. Machines playing chess is one of the greatest example. Siri is another wonder. We are growing faster on that area now.
Would be very interesting to see contribution of IOTA. I have big hopes from IOTA. Its still not that famous. Hope some giants invest in it and we can see a new world. It would be a true revolution.
Applications of IOTA can just be dreamt of today. May be a group of machines playing poker amongst themselves, or a robot taking your kid for a Disney land when you are busy with your work assignments or Alexa ordering a pizza for you(with payments too automated). There will be no limits to innovative thoughts. Just exciting.

Its just that recently I've started participating in lot of contests and as you know many of the contest hosts expect a vote, follow, comment and resteem. That's how my feed has turned out to be full of resteem. I'm definitely considering not to participate in contests forcing a resteem.That is definitely not the case @crypto.piotr. I do create my own content.
I believe that it is only fair to ask people to resteem if they feel that they want to support a contest. I strongly believe that if I would require everyone to resteem my little contest then more than half of would simply dissapear.
Showing appreciation seem to work much better. And that's what Im trying to do. If I see someone resteeming my post then at least say 'thank you'. It's encouraging people more than strict rules.

I'm not sure blockchain is a panacea for all of humanities ills. I'm a historian and an adage I often hear is "we study history so that we learn from our past and not repeat mistakes." Yet time and again we repeat the same behaviors and mistakes and it is a cycle that seems almost a law of nature that cannot be broken. While using blockchain with AI would enable a more permanent kind of archival of memory and history I doubt we would benefit from it without evolving our organic selves beyond our most animal instincts such as greed, jealousy, etc. The most sophisticated AI can not save us from these things. And while it is fanciful to imagine an AI becomming self-aware I do think that is quite some time off it were to happen. In the meantime AIs are programmed by humans and humans are certainly capable of error. Lastly I am reminded of my studies about the Scientific Revolution, Kepler and his "celestial physics" which I find inspiring and thought provoking. I do believe science and religion must meet and coexist to demonstrate the key of mathematical perfection in the universe.

I appreciate the follow very much :) I have a lot of interests. I do post about crypto but I use Steemit as my main and only blog point right now so it just contains everything really. I understand some in the crypto community do not care for mixed content but I just can't be that tunneled. My crypto articles are rarely "valuable" anyway as I do not analyze charts, predict futures, or focus on trading. I care more about the prospects for our civilization, human empowerment, governance, mercy and justice... all that feely stuff. Don't get me wrong though I do like the excitement of a bit of trading and investment growth. haha

It's not about it. You're using steemit as a social media platform. If you want to mix subjects then it's best to open 2 different accounts. Otherwise you will be losing interest coming from your followers. That's just the way it is.
It's better to post 1-2 posts a weeks and engage with your audience. Dont worry about not writting much. Just focus on something, make sure that your followers have similar passions and carry on.
Mixing many topics will not get you far.

As Cambridge Dictionary states, AI or Artificial Intelligence came from 2 words, "Artificial" which means "made or produced by human beings rather than occurring naturally, typically as a copy of something natural." and "Intelligence" which means "the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills." Combining those two things would provide a shorter explanation of "The ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills made by humans." These capabilities may be result of statistics or experience brought from the pasts.
As we know, even if Humans are smarter than machines, machines still function more efficiently and faster than us. Built with series of programs and instructions, they can compare things and statistics within mere seconds. Applying AI to the blockchain would make transactions faster and efficient.
If there would be an AI project, I want to it to have in relations with gaming. Banning players that would flame others for their "fun" and Decentralizing the Crypto to be used in gamification and as monetary value in games like the Chimaera. You would be able to buy in game items that would have a value in the real world and the transactions are all monitored by the AI so that it would be fair and no human mistakes can occur like late payment and stuff.
On the more serious note, having the AI technology govern important aspects that may affect our lives like a part in the government or budget schemes would be a big no. AI or Artificial Intelligence grows by seeing past results. If we are only looking at the past, we cannot adopt to the changes in the future. We are humans and we grow each day. I believe AI may be a part of the crypto world, gaming, etc. but should only be given minimum power, like as an advisor for the current crypto to buy but never more than that like holding your own money and doing daily trades. AI learns and may not abide your will if they "learn" too much.

The subject of A.I is rather controversial, specially how movies like the terminator describes the catastrophy caused by an out-of-control A.I. Personaly though I liked the concept of A.I and I'm looking forward to a future where A.I becomes mainstream. Sure, there will certainly be negative effects of A.I's to society like lost of jobs, A.I going out of control and such. But lets face it,like all things controversial A.I will definitely become mainstream and a part of society - an integral part at that.
The marriage between A.I technology and blockchain technology is happening right now. There are actually some new and not so new platforms that takes advantage of the A.I technology. Steemit with its automated bots is one of them. Though these bots use the simpliest and rudementary A.I they are still A.I. Though there programming is simple they actually have huge effects on the platform - both positive and negative. I'll skip the details of those effects since most steemians are aware of them.
In my opinion A.I technology can be implemented and utilized in almost all industries. Factories and manufacturers have been using the technology even before the blockchain. Thanks to A.I we can make most tedious jobs a lot easier. A.I's can certainly be used in day trading but requires a lot of complicated programming to work properly. Of course humans will always be better at trading but A.I's do have one advantage and is that they will not be affected by emotions. For example they won't go on a panic selling due to fear - unless we program them to do so. Overall A.I's are very useful and I feel very positive in the future of the technology. Anyway, I'll stop here since it's already long enough to an article of its own and I have already written my views about A.I technology and its potentials.
You make a great point, @riovanes, about AI's ability in day trading to eliminate the emotion from the equation. I first got into day trading in the 80's and peaked in the late 90's in the dotcom boom, where I was just beginning to get wind of trading programs being experimented with. I don't know if you are aware, but most of the markets today are traded by bots and there are some sources that put it upwards of 80 or 85%. Certainly, from Dec. 18th when they launched bitcoin on the CME I've seen signs of bots heavily at work on crypto markets as well. It's kind of funny too, because while I still haven't bothered with tying bots, I gave 2 of my sons some crypto for Christmas and my youngest at only 17 has used bots some to manage to turn about $200 into over $11 grand these last months in this bear market. That still amazes me too that he could make over 5,000 percent in a bear market using bots some. So clearly, I'm a bit tempted to try them out too some and wonder if bots really can do better than humans alone trading in the markets. That alone is a paradigm buster... :)
I'm actually pretty new to trading myself so I'm unaware of the statistics you mentioned. But the numbers surprised me, even if 80 to 85% is an exaggeration it certainly won't be too far off from the truth I guess bots have been used in trading more than we realized. Though if you think about it, it actually makes sense. Traders are still humans afterall and have lives to live so they need something to temporarily take their place when they don't have time to trade themselves, and bots seems like they will be perfect for that. This also proves that using bots for trading is a sound idea, and your son just proves that.
Yeah, I still want to look into exactly what he's doing more. Talking about beginner's luck. :)
