In a GitHub post on April 20, the co-founder of Ethereum-Vitalik Buterin gave a proposal to increase the reward for Ethereum while deploying the upcoming Proof of Stake (PoS) algorithm.
According to the proposal, 2,097,152 ether will be created each year when 134,217,728 ETH is placed on bets and validated transactions. Bring 1.56% of annual profits to investors.
The proposal also estimates the annual return on the number of different confirmed ether. For example, 1 million Ether bets will yield a profit of 18.10%, while 10 million will yield a profit of 5.72%. The community on Reddit had a very positive response to the proposal above, with many saying that this ratio is more reasonable than before.
Justin Drake, an Ethereum researcher, responded in the GitHub comment with his approval of Buterin's proposal. Aiming for 32 million Ether, which Drake calls the ideal figure to maintain cybersecurity, investors can expect a fundamental profit of 3.2%, with an annual inflation of approximately 1% lower than the average inflation rate of the United States States is 3.22%.
