First it seemed lacking miner support for providing enough hashrate to the newly forked BCH network made it impossible to mine the first block. This originated from the fact that difficulty adjustment to network hashing rate could only be performed after the first block was mined in BCH. With the very high difficulty compared to the network hashing rate it took almost 5 hours to find a valid block.
Now that the difficulty got adjusted to the network, we can see reasonable block times again and coins can be transfered now. However I would wait a lot of confirmations untill I would see a transaction as valid
