What is the future of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies?
The facts and the speculations:
We got to a point in December 2017 where bitcoin was priced at $19,500+. Today, we have a "not so happy face" price of $9,391 at the time of writing this article.
Now a look at the chat below shows the almost unpromising prospect of a definite bounce back.
So we are tempted to ask: what is happening in the crypto world especially to the grandfather Bitcoin?
Well, my personal opinion and from what i have studied over the months are these:
The rapid drop of bitcoin and perhaps of other altcoins are as a result of continuing fears about regulation, as well as anxiety provoked by a series of high-profile raids and thefts. -Talk about South Korea and China.
Also what about the high transaction fees? They are less than they were about a month ago, but they are still relatively high.
I am not going to even talk about manipulation of the "cabal" in this article.
Bitcoin is notoriously volatile at the moment and its value is expected to continue to shift unpredictably.
This has lead to the increasing amounts of interest in other digital currencies, such as Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple XRP (which had a recent pump and dump thanks to fake Coinbase speculation.)
Now strangely, many people believe that bitcoin will continue to rise to over $50,000 by the end of the year and that this is the best time to buy.
Others believe that the FUD and advise from financial experts indicate that bitcoin is a bubble that is going to BURST more sooner than later.
Here is what I have begun to do:
- I do not invest any more in Bitcoin than i can afford to lose.
- I use Litecoin and Ethereum more than i do Bitcoin for payment options.
- I get information from reliable sources and avoid FUD.
Conclusion
Digital currencies are the future of payment and wealth creation, and there is nothing anyone can do about that fact. They will not ban the internet as a whole nor will they prevent those who are informed to continue to use these currencies daily. They will never be swayed by fear or deterred by any government.
