Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger are at it again. These massive people of wealth are yet again talking trash about bitcoin simply because maybe they missed out and are trying to protect their fiat currency? I believe so.
From this interview on the "Squawk Box" there where a few one liners that really floored me as to why these people think this way.
Now take into consideration large investors such as these guys are currently locked out of buying bitcoin simply because it is not regulated. Those with large wealth actually are somewhat controlled as to where and how much money they can invest somewhere by governments to help reduce crashes and panic.
Bill Gate "I agree I would short it if there was an easy way to do it" Well there is people short it all the time lol but like I said these large investors are blocked on certain actions. He also said he was given bitcoin once for his birthday and then a few years later sold it. Most likely for a very large profit or is pissed now cuz he sold it to soon.
Warren Buffett always calls bitcoin rat poison. Could this be because hes missed the ball and its really starting to eat away at his fiat profits?
Here is the part that really floors me though, for how "smart" he thinks he is about making money the core underlying "value" he seems to totally miss the ball on.
Buffett has always been a bear on bitcoin saying that it is like gold where both assets are strictly speculative and do not produce "earnings" such as stock dividends do.
Did he miss the memo where paper fiat is also extremely speculative and no longer is even back buy gold or really anything for that matter and that governments can keep printing more and more however they see fit?
You see the "value" of any fiat or currency is that it has NO value until the point of transaction or sale. The only time it has value is when you exchange it for something in which both parties agree on. So if people want to use bitcoin well then shit its got value just like your fiat does Warren HELLOOOOOOOO
The market may have taken a bit of a hit from this but it seriously to me seems like a total FUD tactic on this one as prices where starting to soar again. Lets not forget these guys have been totally wrong about bitcoin for years now. Saying back in 2014 (4 years ago when the value was about $200 a coin) that it was a "mirage" that must be one hell of a mirage that is above $9,000 today.
So what should you take away from this?
To me banks and people with large sums of fiat are fighting bitcoin and other cryptocurrency because simply put these people holding on to massive fiat are starting to lose their power and buying power. This should instead empower all of us to keep pushing back even harder and crush this 1% and start spreading wealth to more. There is literally no reason for a few people to hold on to 90% of the worlds money and keep resources from others in desperate need of them.

They are primarily spreading awareness every time they bring it up.

Warren Buffet famously said, "Never invest in something you don't understand". He should broaden that to say, "Never talk about something you don't understand."
Clearly Mr. Buffet doesn't undertstand crypto. He admitted as much. So why is he commenting on on the topic?
He is losing his mind in his old age. He is way to focused on politics these days.
He's ideas on traditional investments are still sound and using Property and Causality insurance companies as free leverage is amazing. He just needs to return to his roots find the next See's Candy type company and avoid talking about things he does not understand.

I am not bothered by that, cryptocurrency is the future, the younger generation, except ZUCKERBERG is heavily into crypto and if you look at our share number, i simply think it is a matter of time before we take over from the old cargos. Investing in crypto is not like investing in a company with earnings and dividends. It is an investment into a future with more transparency, (hopefully) more fairness to all of people on earth, and less fees. Mr. Buffet does not seem to take this into account.

I don’t pay attention to these elite guys as they are so far away from reality given their wealth that they do not know what is truly needed for the majority of us that need to work for a living. Although I respect them for their contributions, they cannot be relied on as they cannot serve as a proxy to the majority of the coming generation that will support the potential of blockchain and its derivatives given the clear need for improved efficiency and transparency of financial markets.
The issue is many people still do which is very unfortunate

Warren buffet probably does not think of it as a missed opportunity. He will not touch it even if it was regulated. This man gets traditional finance. He knows good businesses. However he does not get tech. He missed out on the tech revolution and admitted missing out on google and amazon. He will say the same about bitcoin.

Ive said this before. This is nothing compared to what is to come, at a time, when cryptocurrencies are in their high, there will be a general shake round all monetary value, then the powers that be will wage a massive war against the crypto, it will be bloody, a lot of cryptos will die, you know this at the back of your mind, but the strong will survive, crypto will win and win big, its the cryptoera.

You hit it right on the head. I hope in 20 or 30 years we look back on this era as the end of the dying "breed of greed".
