Knightfall 5: Batman 494

We splash back in here with Robin travelling the sewers in a fast current. He's out of reach from Bane and Killer Croc. Running out of air, with a last-ditch effort, he reaches out of the water with his staff and HUZZAH! He's able to anchor himself. Throwing at his grappling hook, he grabs the catwalk and is able to pull himself to safety.

Meanwhile, in the Hub, Cornelius stirk gets an expected visit from Joe KERR!! He wants a partnership. The kind that kidnaps Commissioner Gordon and instills fear...

Taking a 5-minute BATnap, Bruce is straining and forcing himself to fight. He won't listen to his doctor, not Alfred or even Robin. Oh yeah, Robin makes it back to the BATcave. Between Batman and Robin the suit up for another night of crazy. Still needing to figure out Bane, they'll stop everyone who gets in the way. For Gotham!

The inmates freed from Bane's Arkham breakout are doing as expected to slow down Batman. You can see Bane's plug holes in another panel. It's like he came from the matrix.

Batman speeds through the streets of Gotham looking for Cornelius Stirk. Bats didn't need another serial killer on the loose.

On the other side of town, Scarecrow begins looking for answers using fear.

He finds out what Joker is up to without trouble.

Batman finds Stirk's place only to just miss him. A quick search for clues leads Batman to police headquarters and Jim Gordon.

He makes it to the rooftop but Cornelius has Gordon hypnotized already! Pulling out a knife to execute the plan...

Tiffed he isn't getting what he wants, The Joker heads out muttering about what a fuckup Stirk is. Then out from behind a corner guess who shows up and is pretty bummed he wasn't first.

Scarecrow and Joker team up for mayhem.

Batman saves Gordon, however, still hypnotized he thinks Batman killed him. Luckily, Mrs Gordon shows up to collect her husband.

So, now what will the villainous duo, Joker and Scarecrow, be up to? WELL KIDNAPPING THE MAYOR, OF COURSE!! Using the fear toxin they plan to take over the city...

JQ Review

Phew! After a two week hiatus, Johnny Quad is BACK!

Bruce Wayne getting so weak now. Luckily, he has a little extra help from Robin. His stubbornness is something else, though. Takes no advice from his Doc or Alfred. That'll bite him back later. I know it, you know it.

The setup and team-up of The Joker and Scarecrow is great. Especially in the end where they work with each other.

There was a single panel for Jean-Paul Valley. So expect Azreal to show up.
