Your approach reminds me of splurging.
Splurging is one of my favorite ways to create/record music.
Basically, start it and finish within a small time frame.
Consider it done at the end of the time frame. Love it, hate it, redo it later, but most importantly, live with it, move on and create massive amounts of it.
There's some similar methods like photobombing where bits and pieces of photos get pieced together to form a draft and cut out then the mix and mash process continues until the artists paints over to have a cohesive form. It's interesting to have similar techniques manifested through art.
Yeah, techniques and approaches and processes interest me as much as the end result sometimes.
