Hello my friends from Steemit! I hope you are very well today. juliakponsford invited me to participate in this great contest and here I bring you my proposal of animal spirit with an illustration!

My animal spirit is a cat! But not just any cat, one of those stray cats who like to walk all night and fight with the others cats. That's why he wears a punk hairstyle and his torn clothes).

I like cats very much for their independence, their indifference many times and I have some envy because they can sleep peacefully for a long time in any place. I also like them a lot for the fun and funny things they can be (who doesn't?)

They are creatures certainly mysterious from the spiritual, I love the myths about them. People say that having cats as partners helps eliminate bad energy. o.o

About the process
I made this illustration entirely from the digital media with Adobe Photoshop and using a Wacom Intuos Art tablet.

I worked the linear sketch inspired by the Chinese good luck cats and I wanted it to look a bit aggressive, that's why I drew it in an attack posture!

I was coloring each of the elements to get the proposal flat. I started with a dark color and then add the lights and shadows more easily.
Then I removed some contour lines so that the "painting" got more prominence.

After obtaining my Flat version I started working on textures, lights and shadows.

Here is the first proposal to which I added a gray background to make the colors stand out and a general shadow to give it more three-dimensionality. I also changed his eye to see if he could be a little friendlier.

In this second proposal the background is a garden, I drew the grass and defocused it a bit to give more realism to the illustration.
