Ukrainian cartoon "The Stolen Princes" has collected 21 million hryvnias for the weekend.
The cartoon of the Ukrainian studio Animagrad "The Stolen Princess" for the first weekend gathered nearly 21.5 million hryvnias.
The cartoon, which appeared on March 7, was viewed by nearly 286,000 spectators. For example, the "Oscar" American cartoon "Coco", for the first weekend gathered in Ukraine about 10 million hryvnias (135 thousand viewers).
Note that "The Stolen Princess" is the second full-length 3D animated film in Ukrainian history.
The history tells about the wandering artist Ruslan, who falls in love with Princess daughter Mila. Since she is kidnapped by the wizard of the Black Sea, the hero has to free the girl from captivity.
The "Stolen Princess" was purchased for showing in 20 countries, including China, France, Germany, Poland, South Korea.
3D animation is really great for modern Ukrainian cinema. Qualitatively crafted details, the movements of heroes are plastic and natural. One can definitely say that the animation of this cartoon is at a higher level than, for example, the animation "Nikita Kozhumyaki", and deserves a comparison with Disney.
At the same time, the winner of «Eurovision 2016» Jamala presented a fabulous soundtrack to the cartoon "The Stolen Princes" in ukrainian language.
