It's a bit of a strange sculpture. I don't know if the beard is plucked or caressed. It is common to see intellectuals with long beards stroking their beards (I have met several), perhaps a way of concentrating on thought. I don't know if this is what will happen with the character of the sculpture; his eyes are a bit deconcentrated from the moment, apparently: maybe he meditates.
