I know I am repeating myself again and again. Your stuff is amazing!

Thank you @trumpman!

I just realized you payed randowhale to vote for me - thank you very much! :-)

It's the least I can do. You deserve every penny ^_^ By the way, is any of these for sale?

I have a price list of available originals on this page: http://gric.at/preisliste/

Bloody awesome! I wish I could have upvoted you with more than 10 cents :)

Thank you! Every cent counts! :-)

The figure is sublime in lighting and curvature. I like the fact that the "wings" are not identically symmetric in detail. That takes a bit of doing, and gives it a true organic feel.

Enjoyed this piece and the entire process. You are truly skilled.

Thank you @talltim!

Somehow I hadn't stumbled into you here before but wow! You've got something amazing going here. I can see some of your influences but you're doing something fresh and new too.

Thank you @pfunk!

I don't know what I need to say im stoned

Gorgeous! I wonder if you used a model ... Her thighs are like magnets for the eye!
:-)

Back in 2005 when I painted the first version of this I mixed two images in Photoshop to get a reference for the lower body. The butt was from an image from the "anatomy photo book for artists" and the legs from another image I found on the internet. So it's a kind of a Frankenstein-Angel.

Frankenstein- Angel? That's a great idea! ;)

Amazing as usual ! Thank You for the detailed answer Peter ! :-)

You are very welcome!

great job again. the details of the "wire wings" are amazing.

Thank you!

Very beautiful-- your detail work is amazing! I think what I enjoy most about your paintings is the juxtaposition of the softness of the human form with the very strict/mechanical elements.

Thank you @reddragonfly! Yes, the antithesis between the organic/soft/beautiful and the artificial/cold/eroded was always my artistic playground.

You have some serious talent here. One can see the skills, man. This is amazing figurative painting, @gric

Thank you!

Respect.

WOW! love it ... you're so talented!

It's just crazy what you attention to detail is and i would like to know where do you get sooo much patience for all of it. I have ADHD probably and will need to do some tests on myself lol Amazing work mate, you have a follower.

Thank you! My patience is limited! I make it up with tricks and routine! :-)

How long does it take to create a piece of art as such you have shered in this post approximately?

In this format with a similar amount of details 2-3 weeks.

This is why i adore committed artists and this is why their work must have value. It's nothing like my fast snaps where i could have a dozen images withing two days with the photoshoot included. But the reason why i started taking photographs is because i have no hand and talent for drawing. I understand that one can learn.. but still it is not the same and i definitely lack patience.. Great work mate.

Wow !! Upvoted
very good painting <3 ^ ^

Thank you @cuteve!

I love your work, you're an art genius.

Thank you!

Woow.. Wonderful.. Keep up the great job, just followed you :-)

Thanks!

It' incredible! I love your paintings

Happy to hear that! Thank you!

This is a beautiful painting... I like how you used the bright orange on the legs!.
I would like to paint something like this someday, thanks for sharing this, this is more inspiration for everybody! :)

Thank you!

great stuff - one version of this got you suspended on Facebook, I remember!

Yes, I had always problems with these on Facebook.

Master Gric :)

Each stage is magic.... Lovely

Thank you!

I am not sure why but the light shining through her legs and the way it reveals her bones is what really stands out to me. The wings are amazing, of course - your organic machinery is always breathtaking. But the translucent calves are just such a nice touch.

Question - at stage 4 when you are beginning to outline the organic machinery, are you scratching through to reveal canvas or is that white paint?

The white lines are from white chalk transfer paper. I used it to trace the contours for the wings on the canvas.

Ah thank you, that is a nice insight and one of those cool tricks that probably makes your life a lot easier I am guessing. Part of the reason I asked about any posts with process pics is because the level of entwined detail in the organic machinery sections of your art is so intimidating that I wanted to see the beginnings of it, see how you started on one of those sections. This was exactly what I was hoping to see and I thank you so much for sharing it with me! I know it was kind of a lazy request, I could have dug through your blog but I wasn't sure what I was looking for. I very much appreciate you taking the time to give me those links. Cheers - Carl

I don't count the hours but I worked around 2 weeks on it. The stuff on her back is what ever you want it to be. It can be hair, neuroimplants, useless wings full of holes. Confusion is very appreciated! :-)
