I'm fortunate to live just above a gentle little river and I'll occasionally pop down with the doggy and spend an hour or two painting. I really wanted to capture the depth of the twisting river and catch some of the atmosphere of the water and the setting sun. This is my second attempt at the same shot, each time I try to get something different about the scene or challenge myself to get a little more out of my painting ability. It's been challenging and fun to keep trying a scene with a little more intention each time.
