Beautiful, tranquil scene...

I, fully, agree about trade-offs. Living in Florida, not exactly the most cultural place, I'm 5 min away from the beach and have great weather.

Best part is, one does not have to be stuck in one place, all year round. During the summers, my wife and I travel up to MD to visit in-laws & frequently visit Colombia, too (so, I'm lucky that way).

Hope you're enjoying your Sunday, where you are :)

I totally get that! Spent 3 months near Cape Canaveral, Florida back in 2012 when I stayed at NASA KSC during my time at the International Space University! Loved it and the beach, but coming home to the Norwegian fjords then felt like seeing them for the first time ever! Stark contrast of climate and landscape (seriously, Florida is so flat!!)

Far out... International Space University! If you're ever back in FL, let me know and maybe we can meet up :)

Would love to visit Norway in the future; who knows, I might get invited to a literary festival, one fine day...

Yes, that is one of the (unexpected) advantages of travel, returning with an increased appreciation for Home!
