Welcome to NHK,
I watched this anime when I was 19 or 20. Without going into spoilers, the anime is about a 22 years old shut-in, or NEET(if you know the term, of course, you know it, you watch anime), who lives alone, is socially awkward, doesn't work, lives off parents money. So obviously an introvert, socially awkward, unemployed, living off parent's money, the then me, sort of could relate to him. So even though the anime might not be a masterpiece on fanbase level like "Your Name" it really stuck with me.
The story goes, a lone guy, alone to the point that he has delusions about his household item talking to him, sees a young girl when she knocks on the door to tell him about some neighborhood group. This event triggers him to go outside and do stuff. He finds out about his neighbor, who he is and why there is always that catchy song coming out of his room. We see why he became the way he is. We see his struggle to actually do something, but then see that he isn't the only one who is struggling.
That is all I want to say, since I want you to watch it. It is not suspenseful or anything but if you do decide to watch it, it more fun to find out things on your own. It is an anime about personal growth and deals with rejection and a realization that you too have to work if you want something to work out.
PS: I am not professional or adequate writer/reviewer. I just wanted people to know that this anime exists. For reference, I liked "Shin sekai yori" and hated "You lie in April". That should be enough info to tell you about my taste in anime. For more indepth, professional review, go the MAL page. (y)
