Are the Sea Otters really so tender?

EVIL BEHAVIOR OF MARINE NUTRIES

bonis-bonis.png

We have all seen with affection the tender image of the otters holding hands, the reason for this behavior is because they do not want to get away from the group, the marine currents could separate them while they sleep and wake up alone at the mercy of other predators.
It really is a sweet image that would NOT lead us to think that it has behaviors that could be called evil and disturbing, like raping the seal pup to death or violently copulating with the females of their species until they are killed.

The otter needs a large intake of food every day, so we sometimes see that they capture otter pups and while the mother does not exchange it for the food that she has obtained, they keep them retained.
Also with great surprise and biologists have recently seen and so have been reflected in different studies his "ugly" habit of kidnapping seal pups and copulate with them to kill him.
Equally and relatively frequently some females of otters are abducted by these males that in a cruel ritual they are bitten by the muzzle and with sane keeps them with the muzzle downwards while with a dance loaded with violence they copulate with them. Due to this violence the female often dies on many occasions, biologists have come to see with great perplexity that the female's body is kept by the males for almost a week following copulation with the corpse.

According to the studies this behavior that can horrify us is not by mere cruelty, the copulation in the otters is more of necessity than for mere pleasure.
The otters are a species that shows Polygyny behavior ie the male has a harem of females mating with all of them and not allowing other males to approach them staying as well as the clan leaders.
The stronger male thus marks his territory, thus behaving males without harem aggressively with other species.

Although these behaviors do not please us because their image has been idealized with the photos we find in the different media, they are animals demonstrating their power and territoriality.
