It is fairly easy to tell when someone is worth enagaging in dialogue or debate, and when they are not.
The litmus test?
DO THEY CARE MORE ABOUT UNDERSTANDING WHAT IS TRUE AND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING OR ABOUT BEING "RIGHT" AND SHUTTING YOU DOWN?
Now, don't get me wrong, I love to be right. I love to mercilessly debate a point in cold, methodical, impassioned clinical fashion. My passion for the rigorous pursuit of logical solution is immense, I feel.
What I have been seeing more and more of on the internet and in "real life," however, seems to be a demonstration of the opposite: a pursuit of appearing correct via mimicry of commonly accepted mainstream media "truths." A knee-jerk emotional response to cerebral challenge, and an unwillingness to see the challenger as a fellow human.

You're absolutely right to question things and to also 'put it out there' for others to consider. Many people are closed to this unfortunately, but I guess Truth comes out with time ;)

Delving into the psychology of the sheep. Well man, that is actually a huge subject. I've got one major slice of it boiled down - Cognitive Dissonance: a person who holds a belief they feel precious and will go to any avenue to protect it... any. You have this idea and refusento let it go, thereby going to any extreme to validate it, name calling like "racist" "biggot" "fascist" all of them fall into this category. I could write a post on this subject (you know what I'm going to), so I'll keep it brief. Most people lack self confidence and you bringing up a point that diminishes theirs, it is seen as an attack on them personally. Some people can never been debated for this very fact. Great video man, keep it up.
Compassion is what is going to make this platform successful. We need people to be comfortable sharing their personal beliefs, and we need to exercise non judgment on their beliefs. Truth will appear when love is present. :)
Most of the human race wants their ego stroked and to feel better about their existence instead of learning about it unfortunately. Another excellent post, thank you.
