The sad thing is, I have these kinds of conversations every day. I'm convinced people aren't willingly stupid. Rather they've received an education sorely lacking in critical thinking, and on top of that, they have been told that the Government is like a Fairy Godmother. It can't last, but most people are incapable of seeing past Wednesday of next week. It will almost be funny when the rude awakening is upon us.

I think a lot of people just don't pay attention. Politics is not fun. People would rather see what the Kardashians are up to this week or who won "Dancing with the Stars". Politicians put on a show when it's election time, say what people want to hear, promise free stuff and they get votes and get elected. Then the country suffers because people who don't have the best interests of the country get into office and screw things up. I think at this point there is probably no way to "fix" us. I'm a bit nervous of what might be coming.
