Kamala Harris has picked her VP running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. I can't say I know much about him, but considering Minnesota's path under his tenure, I cannot say he has accomplished much. There isn't much negative I can say about him. I cannot assume if this was a good choice or a bad choice as I don't know too much about him, however, I know there will be many progressives out there who will be angry about Kamala Harris choosing an elderly white man for Vice President of the United States.

If you know anything about him, what do you think about this pick?

I don't know much about him either. I don't think many people do so it's hard to imagine how she thinks this pick will help her...unless she is just assuming having and elderly white male is a benefit in some way.

I say elderly but he was born in 1964 so he is only 60. He looks a lot older than he is, at least in the pic above. His wikipedia page says he was in the national guard, was a teacher, and worked in manufacturing...at least he's not a career politician. He also voted against TARP and has in the past been a strong 2nd amendment supporter so it isn't all bad I suppose.
