"Suya Media": The guy who bought N12,000 worth of suya.
This is no joke; no exaggeration; it's not for the author's effect. It is just what it is.
I was shocked when he asked for 12,000 suya. I thought to myself, even dangote can't spend this much on chicken suya. Or, can he?
Here was a man who drove by to buy 12,000 suya while I walked here to buy N200 worth.
(Life no balance😁)
Let's think of it this way, it would have been the height of foolishness on my part to rush back home for my debit card; run 🏃 to the ATM and withdraw 15,000 to show I have money.
What's the competition for?
Later, the "Aboki" confirmed that the man was a regular customer. He comes to buy like that from time to time.
Questions:
•Do I know him?
NO
•Do I know where he gets his money from?
NO
•Did I know if he was buying them for himself alone or a group of friends?
NO
•Does he even know I was noticing?
Maybe not.
So, how would I compare myself to a total stranger?
This happens on social media too. Or, should I say "suya media" 😄
We compare ourselves to total strangers and invite total frustration.
This year, ignore some social media "flashy" posts.
Ignore some "expensive lifestyles"
Be focused on building yourself.
There is one person you must watch 24/7 and that is YOU!
See you at the top ⤴️
If you choose to compare yourself with Mr Suya, go ahead.
Please, I beg you, invite me to join you. I believe you can't finish it all by yourself! Or, can you?🤔
