As you know I am a travel agent and I have been to a lot of countries already but this place was absolutely amazing!
After we ( @marcellus-wllace ) have been to Bali in 2013 we have been quite disappointed. The beaches, the people, the country…. It wasn’t what we expected from a country which is so strongly advertised in Germany.
BUT the neighbour island Lombok is a place you should visit in your life! We got also scammed here but that’s another story!
We rented a scooter for a day to discover all the beauty of this little island. The village we stayed at is called Kuta which is in the south. It was pretty small with a few restaurants and shops back in the day.
First, we drove to the coast on the left side of Kuta (direction Bali). After a spectacular scenery, we stopped at this beautiful beach.
On our way back we run out of petrol on the hill because the display didn't work and I had to walk all the way back to get some petrol from a local store on the street. You will buy gasoline in a glass bottle so it’s easy to refuel your scooter.
Then we drove to the right side of Kuta to explore those amazing beaches.
There were usually no one or maybe 3-4 locals swimming in the ocean or hanging around on the beach. The sand was so bright and fine. Completely the opposite than Bali for example.
