Travel Philippines: Beaches and Nightlife
Beaches near Manila Part 3: Aninuan Beach Puerto Galera Philippines
Hello Steemians :)
To complete the happy memories in White Beach Puerto Galera of course you need to try the nightlife and explore other sites around the area.
White Beach Nightlife
There is some interesting nightlife pretty much every night but much more so on the weekends when a lot of people come down from Manila. There were fire dancers in front of a few of the restaurants but several other places had music that was very loud so it depends on your taste. If you like to dance or chat with friends may depend on where you want to go. The area with the fire dancers has more people.
Nightlife in the weekdays is very much different from weekends nightlife. We walked on the beach during weekdays in White Beach and there's only a couple of customers compared to nightlife in Sabang beach. We haven't seen any disco bars in White beach only a bars to sit and drink. Sabang beach has more people walking as early as 6PM with beautiful girls. Unfortunately we didn't do much nightlife in Sabang for some reason as I mention in my last post.
As you walked around White Beach there are a lot of waitress that come and try to get you to their tables. During one walk we had 5 hostesses try to get us into their place. I do like the bars with just a mellow rock music that is not too loud. The loud music makes conversation almost impossible. We walked all the way to the last bar and decided to sit in a nice quite spot at the bar so we could watch the people walk by.
We also just walking on the beach to watch the fire dancers. Hanging out for a while until we feel bored. So its time to go back to the hotel. Theirs not a lot of interesting stuff that you will encountered here compared to Pattaya :) but it is still fun and nice to get out of the city.
Here is the full documentary of the nightlife in Puerto Galera.
Aninuan Beach
We noticed that the area next to Resto Veranda has a big rocks but there are people walking in and out so we decided to take a look before the rain starts again.
This path is going to the other side of the beach they called it Aninuan Beach. Walking through the big rocks it is a bit tricky to get to the other beach. The crazy walk through the rocks makes me feel like I'm in Casaroro Falls again in Valencia Dumaguete City. I like walking in this big rocks it looks adventurous but be careful on what you are stepping some of the rocks are sharp. The rocks are just amazing.
The beach is long. We walked past the hotels to the river. The river empties into the ocean so you need to across the river to continue walking down the beach. The river is more developed than the river on the White beach that looks dirty from the town.
There's a few big resorts in this area but not a lot of people come here during our visit. This resorts named Tamaraw Beach Resorts, Sunset Beach Resort and others.
One thing that catches our attention is the Aninuan Beach Resort we found the name on the maps. It looks like abandoned but then someone told us that this is a place is own by a businessman who is a owner of Robinson's Malls. It's a good spot for beach. The area is peaceful and large. It starts from the river and goes until the end of the beach. This is the widest resort I've seen in Puerto Galera.
The beach is less crowded but White beach has more clear water. There is also a beach extension if you walked further across more rocks. Another tricky beach trail but we didn't try to go since we came too far already.
On the way back we tried to walked the tiny path between Aninuan Beach Resort off to a dirt access road. It is a secluded area but there are a few houses up on the hill. The beach sand is soft its not good for running but it gives your feet a good massage like foot spa :).
Walking back we couldn't resist taking pictures of the crazy rocks with the big waves from Typhoon.
If White beach is not enough to walked for exercise you might want to extend it to Aninuan beach. This can be far as Boracay beach trail.
Here is the full documentary of this amazing beach.
The day before we were supposed to leave all the ferries were shut down because of the typhoon that was going through. This made any ferry service dangerous so we were not sure if we were going to be able to leave the next day. We took some pictures of the crazy weather. Some of the restaurants closed down but the ones near us stayed open even with the high wind.
While walking to the beach we experience strong wind like a sand storm. The sand blowing against my skin was so painful so I try to cover my face and turn away from the wind. We got sand blasted like 2 times while walking on the beach. The waves are getting crazier but there are still people swimming.
The morning we were supposed to leave the Coast Guard allow the ferries to operate and we ran over to one of the ferries from our hotel. We were walking along the beach one of the hotel assistants was helping us with our bags. When we got to the small river we stopped. We were in cloths and shoes for the bus. We did not want to walk through the water. We were going to try to jump the water but the hotel porter offered to carry me over the stream because the water is big. He said I was VERY light . Very nice :)
Here is the full documentary video how we escape from the Typhoon.
On the ferry back to Batangas port we went by a ship that had run onto the rocks during the typhoon very scary. It was still stuck on the big rocks sine the day before. Someone had already rescued the people in that ship. Right next to the stranded ship is an island with many rocks but also has a beautiful beach. We are wearing life vest in case something happen but in God's well we're back to Batangas port safe.
Thank you for reading and watching :)
