Just a short post today to let you know that I won't publish "Week through Adrian's Lenses" today, as usual. Hopefully, tomorrow.
I am after a 3-hour surgery (nothing very serious, only a dental implant for a missing tooth), but it's a surgery nonetheless. I've been advised to rest or sleep today as much as possible for a quicker recovery, and I can't eat solid foods, so not enough energy for a heavy day...
And "Adrian's Lenses" is anything but light, so I decided to take my doctor's advise and take it slow today, at least.
See you tomorrow!

Wish you will get well soon and have a lot healthier time in the coming days!
Thanks! It's better, but it will take a while.
Take care and get well soon!
Even an ordinary visit to a dentist is a pain in the ass, I can't imagine the surgery...
Thanks, man! Yeah, I thought it would never end, lol.
Get well soon. I hope you recover soon.
I hope so too! Thanks!
Man, three hours in the dentist’s chair is brutal. Even if it’s not serious, that’s a long time to be worked on. Hope the recovery is smooth, maybe treat yourself to some ice cream if that’s allowed
It was. My body was stiff after 3 hours. They were pretty worn down themselves.
I wish. No hot or cold allowed.
that's just a pity 🤦🤦
Take your time and recovery, well wishes to you.
Thanks. Yeah, I'm still taking it kind of slow...
Take care and get well soon!
I'll do my best. 😃 Thanks for coming over!
Take it easy. Dental work is not fun. Have a !BEER
It wasn't fun, indeed. Thanks for dropping by! Let's see what I can put together tomorrow. It might be a shorter post than usually, to not overdo it.
Dental implant sooo scary even just imagining it
Actually I had a kind of similar procedure last year so I was very confident, but I felt quite weak after this one from today, probably because they also took some blood for this one (still don't know what they've done with it, because I couldn't see behind the chair, lol).
weird usually they don't take blood for teeths
I thought so too... Maybe it has something to do with immune response to the implant, so it won't be rejected. They scratched/collected some of my real bone too. I'll ask the dentist, because I'm curious too.
This is soooo creepy the bone collected 😱
I read more about it, and that's a practice when doing dental implants, to have a more solid base for the implant. And using the patient's own bone makes it less likely to get rejected. Also the blood they drew was used for the same reason, after reading about it.
Interesting, my mother did it but she didn't tell me anything about that
No worries. Take care!

Thanks, man!
